Predictable. Every time Liverpool are doing well there's all kinds of reasons. We're probably only a couple of weeks away from the old every team in the world are crap this season.

I liked the we're just clinical one then watching VVD miss a hatty of chances, Salah having an xg of 4 or sumin and scoring a pen.

We're not actually that good just lucky and clinical and score at the right time narrative.

Haters or rival fans are never going to praise us or give us credit, just the way it is unfortunately. They just can’t accept the fact when we are good and better than everyone else. Really sad lives these people live.

Long way to go and things can easily change and its not as much a foregone conclusion as they'd have you believe. But its still good being in this position just watching them all squirm

It's Arsenal fans who are the weirdest to me.

They haven't won a title in over 20 years, haven't even broken 90 points under Arteta, and yet you see so many on social media act as though we're going to definitely collapse because we're not actually that good, whilst they'll steamroll all before them to win the title.

Arsenal need everyone fit for them to be fully effective. A couple of injuries to regular starters and they become pretty ordinary.

outside of Saka and Odegaard i dont think theyd miss anyone that badly. Maybe Gabriel for the set plays? They had odegaard out and called it a crisis tryna lump in ben white who gets dropped past 2 seasons for partey at RB anyway and califori a new signing as key 1st team injuries.

Rice too maybe cause he takes the inswingers on the left corners doesnt he. Him and Saka and Gabriel causes the damage from em. Odegaards the only one creates from open play pretty much. Teams just need to mark him and deal with set plays vs them.

Simon Hughes just posted a Salah exclusive that Salah would be open to accepting a one year deal but is frustrated it hasn't been sorted yet.

1 year deal is a insult but it just shows how desperate he is to stay cos anywhere else he gets 3 years and much more money.

Might be he only actually wants a 1 year contract to be fair. He's said he wants to stay but I don't recall him saying how long for.

Just seems a bit odd to come out and say you'd accept a 1 year deal.

You see it that way. I see it as he is getting no offer currently and rather than have his head turned with multiple offers in Jan from other clubs that he would just sign a 1 year deal so he can focus with matters on the pitch.

Edwards supposedly left the first time when things soured over the new deal for Henderson. Seems like this second time he's being obstinate, if Salah is having to beg in the press for just a one year extension. Bit of a worrying development.

Also for all the discussion about Salah and Van Dijk, there's surprisingly little about Trent. He's off isn't he

Trent isn't using the media to strengthen his hand as much is all. Length of contract won't be much of an issue for him.

Funny thing with the Edwards and Henderson thing is that his data was right in the end.

He had one year on his deal in summer of 21 when he signed a new one. He had a decent 21/22 season but his legs fell off in 22/23 when his original deal would have ran out.

Very much doubt the same would happen with Salah mins.

The other funny thing is Edwards went out of his way to write a letter to the fans explaining his reason for leaving and yet we still got conspiracy theories on him leaving after a disagreement on renewing the contracts of players later in their careers despite him being in charge of renewing said contracts.

You can't put Salah/VVD in the same convo as Henderson.
