I dare say it but the way we defend without the ball is reminiscent of a title winning team. Slot is showing us something from this squad currently that Klopp could never coach into them. Our clean sheets would often be chaotic and lucky if we got them.

I actually love how we are happy to get 11 men behind it at times and just say break us down, with that confidence the chances will come eventually at the other end. The best teams are able to adapt their style and manage the game accordingly- City were inevitably going to gain in confidence after we missed chances at 1-0 and it did come about 60 mins in, but we managed to stay calm and ride through it.

A great week for us, but another massive one to come.

Girona and Southampton in the cup aren't that important so hopefully we see some good rotation there.

It's always tough playing a large number of games away from home so it'll be a difficult period for us.

Hopefully Everton are as generous with gifts as they were vs utd today. The Newcastle wed night then ofc 12.30 is gonna be huge, need to get good points out of those. Only bright side is Everton also play wed night, but double home games? we are double away?

I can’t see any other interpretation….

It’s not as if there was any vitriol to the chants, and Pep knew that. I have no issue with his reaction either, he was just joining in. So why Ortega had to say that, I have no idea. I hope he gets charged for it and he’s certainly put a target on his back.

I don't think they had a shot on target did they? Not very often that happens with City.

They never had a shot of any note until the 39th minute and apparently that's the first time that's happened for them in the PL since 2010.

Yeah it was the Lewis shot late in the first half

I still don't feel comfortable when we allow other teams to have possession, even though it's clearly part of our gameplan. Our defence is so so resolute now, Slot has worked miracles with it, but I still have a hangover from the Klopp days when that wasn't so much his forte, especially in the later years.
