Glen Johnson on TAA
Alexander-Arnold obviously has personal ambitions, as he revealed back in October. In an interview with Sky Sports, he made no secret of the fact that a Ballon d’Or is perhaps higher on the list of things he’d like to achieve than another Champions League trophy with Liverpool. A statement which rubbed a few Reds supporters up the wrong way and Glen Johnson believes it borders on madness to say something like that.
“Listen, you have to believe you can win things, but everyone's going for it at the big clubs. Forget about upsetting the Liverpool camp, it’s a silly thing to say because the chances of it to actually happen are very, very small.”
Should this season turn out to be last for Alexander-Arnold at Anfield, Johnson, who was capped 54 times for England, believes Liverpool have his replacement ready.
“I think Conor Bradley would be perfect. Whenever he’s come in, he’s looked better anyway. To be honest, I think Trent only played in some of the games because of his reputation. There’ve been moments where Conor Bradley has been Man of the Match but because Trent is Trent, obviously he gets the shirt, when he’s fit. But if neither of those players had had a name, you’d have picked Conor Bradley. I think they need to find someone that can back up Conor Bradley, if Trent goes.”
Nail on head.

No it’s not. Diaz was polishing Trent’s boot two weeks ago, and for good reason.
Connor could become a good player, there’s about as much chance of him being a better footballer and indeed right back than Trent, as there is of the latter winning the b’allon.
Anyone seen that video of Trent with Slot when he first arrived? He’s trying to curl the ball into the net from 5 yards behind the line? He misses badly firstly time and Slot says to Alex Inglethorpe ‘What are you teaching these guys?’ and then Trent interrupts and says ‘That nothing is impossible’ and proceeds to whip it in with outrageous technique, with Inglethorpe shouting ‘That’s what we teach them!’.
People think Trent leaving is okay are deluding themselves imo, I don’t care what Glen Johnson is paid to say.

Chiesa has such Arthur vibes.
Like you want to believe it’s just something normal, that of course signing Chiesa on a five year deal was a huge mistake, and that he’s just finding fitness before reclaiming his pre-injury form.
Everything points to the opposite though.

I see Chiesa as a similar signing to Minamino IMO.

Slot has obviously decided he’s just not up to it.
Not sure who was responsible for his signing but it’s an absolute disaster, is it Hughes? Coupled with absolutely zero other signings and zero progress on the big three contracts. Not even sorted contracts for Ibou or Diaz.
His first 6 months in the job have been pathetic.

It's not deluded either, just that it could go either way and history of followed football proves this.
For instance, the departure of Coutinho was a deep cut, we tried so hard to hang on to him but in the end he still left us and guess what? It turned out to be arguably our best move under FSG.
I'm not making predictions here. Just wondering why you are so sure if there's even a small chance of the opposite happening.
Furthermore, just because someone is paid doesn't mean they're not expressing their honest views. He's paid to express his honest views, not to trash TAA.
