Yeah you didnt think moyes would finish lower than 3rd
5 big shiny stars for you
But with new management at United and more money to spend, it would be a very brave punter that bets against them returning to the coveted Champions League places.
Yeah hes gonna get his ideas across straight away while losing 3 big players and hope ours go away?
Poor thing, poor poor wee thing.
On reflection, not winning the PL did us a bit of a favour. From John H down, one and all have said we have advanced too far, too quickly. The wums have, each and every one of them, got us down as one-hit wonders, never to rise again for another 90 years or so. Sitting second instead of first takes off pressure, and that's good. There's still room for improvement; let Brendan do that.
In the meantime, may my fellow Reds bear posts such us this above with rectitude, we'll just have to get used to it guys; there's Reds, and there's an increasing number of jealous wums.
Poor wee things.

Oh I see. Perhaps Suarez just had something in his eye then after the Palace game
you took all that time to write about liverpool
The Dutch Moyes (who gets sacked a lot more) is coming for us
Run for the hills!!!!! the end is near!!
May as well hand utd the PL trophy now
That's a very long winded way of saying you don't think we'll finish in the top 4 next year.
All the teams you mentioned will strengthen, if you think Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd will strength enough to overtake Liverpool then fair enough.
To be honest, it's nothing new. People have been saying we're overachieving all season long. And the Suarez line is so 2013.
We'll be in the mix next year. If our signings work out then who knows, if not then we're at risk. Nothing new there.
Penalty Spot: I hope you do spend lots of money and build a formidable squad of talent, just like Spurs did.
What makes you think Liverpool won't bring in new talent?
Oh of course, we don't have a chance of signing top talent cos we aren't in CL.. oh wait.
With the WC going on and the core of your squad going or gone you will have a very short time to bring in players and mold them into a team.
Just a thought, why has Suarez enrolled his daughter into a school in Liverpool if he is moving to Madrid or Barcelona?
What is the fascination with non Liverpool fans insisting that Suarez is moving away?
I would keep an eye on your own golden boy, he will throw his toys, dummy, bottle and blankets out of the pram when LVG makes RVP captain. He will hand in a transfer request as quick as you can spell RVP.
You better get some strikers in as RVP won't perform just like this year and with Rooney wanting out the team will be unsettled again.
I don't think for 1 minute United will be challenging for top 4 next year, they will once again be challenging with Spurs for the final EL place.
It's easy to make these predictions isn't it Penalty?
Well it would be if your's had any chance of coming true but your fear is already showing and the season has only just finished.
Why do scousers always go so over the top with hope and excitement after finishing 2nd?
You finished 2nd well done. Next season is a whole new kettle of fish. Your top 4 place is NOT secure. How many times does history need to be repeated for you to understand?
Who says that it's even certain who will finish in the top 4?
Chelsea did all they could to finish outside of it - even with their mega-bucks.
More about good manager and a squad who want to play than anything else.

Because supporting your team is about hope and excitement. It should be fun contrary to what JA606 would have you believe.
Of course our place isn't secure but we stand a decent chance. As a supporter surely you have to go in with a positive attitude otherwise what's the point? Football would just be a miserable affair. I'd be like supporting Villa....

My point exactly, the top 4 isn't sewn up at all.
Imagine if you will Roman deciding he would rather promote Russian football and pulled out of Chelsea to buy Spartak Moscow, where would that leave Maureen?
A: without funds to purchase another title (or at least top 4 spot).
That is just one example, it could happen to any team.
What happens if Villa are bought by one of City's owners rivals and they pump a fortune into the team, the same way City have even with a similar stadium deal, wouldn't they then attract top talent and maybe they could get a top 4 spot.
The future's not set. There's no fate but what we make for ourselves.
What's funny about these types of articles is eeryone says we overachieved last season. when you look a tour team and squad it's not the 2nd best in the league yet we finished 2nd, why then did we do this.
No europe? It helped but without getting deep into it if you think having no cl v having cl is better then I'll leave you to it
So it's down to the manager doing a very good job then. Would this not suggest that he can do the same next season? Or go one better and improve his team and squad with some signings over the summer?
Why do mankers think they're likely to challenge even for a top 4 place next season.
Half of your main team is either retiring, moving on, or want to move on but are staying for the extra wages and don't really give a flying fúíck about the club.
On top of that you're not in the CL so major players will turn you down in favour of clubs who are, and you have a new manager and a novice assistant.
Your best bet for the new season is to consolidate your position in mid table while you recover from the exodus and then hope to attain europa football in a few years to help work your way back up.
You need to realise that we didn't gatecrash the party, you were thrown out of it.

Is there a difference?!
"Just a thought, why has Suarez enrolled his daughter into a school in Liverpool if he is moving to Madrid or Barcelona?"
anyone with kids knows how hard it is to get them into the right school. Even for the toddlers.
if you get a place you take it no matter what, even if there is only a 1% chance you'll actually need it. Because if you don't there is a 0% chance of it being there later.
What articles like this go to show is how many rivals are genuinley worried about us, it's all Suarez is leaving, you have to play 10,000 more game sand European football causes incurable jet lag and career ending injuries.
Also it's hilarious how some fans talk to us liek we don't know what it's like to have a league and European campagin in the same season We've been in the CL before ya know, even won the thing
