It also grinds rivals gears that they now see that Brendan is not David Brent and in fact a very good young manager.

Yes his soundbites can be cringy at times, but he's a modern manager who uses more modern terms, anyone who works in a professional industry (I work in the banking sector) will know terms like these get thrown around willy nilly, it's par for the course in HR in any company.

Brendan doesn't just throw cliches around liek "passion" "get stuck in" etc. He has a more modern mentality and his way of speaking reflects that. He isn't saying anything other managers don't say he just says it differently

But isn't that just the case in this country Kaiser?

If Suarez has plans to leave then surely he wouldn't care if he got a school place for his daughter as she would be in Spain with him.

Even if it is the case in Spain again why would he bother with a Liverpool school if he was going to Spain.

Maybe my logic is flawed but I can't see any reason to choose a school in Liverpool unless he was planning on being there when the next school year starts.

"We've been in the CL before ya know, even won the thing"

Ah yes, I recall. How was your league season that year?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The point is fans talk to us like we don't know what it's like to have a league and European campagin in the same season when we do.....

We came second in 08/09 and a semi final cl appearance, came up short but got close in both comps, try harder

We've more then enough experience of dealing with both.

"And how did we do in the league the following three years when we did pretty well in the CL?"

TBH, I have no idea. But am pretty sure you weren't able to win it.

It's not impossible (United have done it twice, as have Munich I believe), but it will still be a factor. It's just not as simple as "it's only an extra 13 games".

Every team in the league should be worried. Last season we couldn't buy any talent as we were not in Europe. Even the likes of Tottenham were poaching players we were interested in.

This summer will be different. Players all over Europe watched us play the best football in Europe last season. We made £97m in TV revenue and we added numerous new sponsors. We have money and we will spend.

If i were a Utd fan i would be worried right now.

Actually you know exactly how we did but it just doesn't suit your agenda to admit it.

You need to realise that we didn't gatecrash the party, you were thrown out of it.

problem is, they weren't even thrown out. they were standing outside looking nervous, unable to move in, wondering if anyone would notice them. by the time they got up the nerve to make a move. the party was already full and the door was locked. they started looking enviously at the smaller party next door, but even that party (Europa) was already full by then

All except the blind Liverpool fans know that Liverpool fans are an ill informed, arrogant lot who deserve to win nothing. Ever.

You had your best performance in over a decade in the last 15 games while we stumbled badly into relegation form in the last 15 games. Yet you finished 5 pts ahead of us.

Pathetic lot. The nation is best served with you lot winning nothing.

I could probably look on BBC or Wiki, but do I really need to? I know you finished RU to United in 2009, but other than that, I honestly don't know how many points you accrued, or where you finished.

The point is that, when you won the CL, your league form suffered.

Clubs with huge squads can cope with both, some of the time. But I think even most of your fans admit you need to strengthen for next season.

I'm not going to join all those that said you were "lucky" to have no injury problems, but I think the issue being highlighted is that your lack of depth in squad was not hugely exposed due to injuries.

Hmmmmm.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I ask do you work, you in college etc?

See my point is Brendan says something like "You train a dog, you don't train a player you educate them". He gets called David Brent for these type of things.

Yet if you've any experience of dealing with training or HR in a company this type of thing is industry standard. You talk about improving skill sets not training people. If you do something before it needs to be done it's proactive, things like this.

Like Brendan talks about mentality all the time, about players being of the right mental character to play for his team. He's basically saying he want's his players to be brave and mentally strong but expresses himself in a different manner then what we are used to hearing football managers say.

That's my point and he gets called David Brent for it.

While you have a point you have to look at it logically, that was Rafa's first ever season in the PL, he knew Europe better and we focused on the CL (which we won )

After 05 we consistently improved in the league year on year culminating in a challenge in 09, we went up against a very good united said and a very experience Fergie and came up short, dissapointing but what can you don united were the best team in the country that season.

I don't really get this article.

I'd rather be in our position than Utd's that's for sure. Am I susposed to be worried about my team playing entertaining football whilst having to play a likely 6 extra games?

Bore off you tard.

Well you certainly didn't worry about it in the 1980s
