It also grinds rivals gears that they now see that Brendan is not David Brent and in fact a very good young manager.

Yes his soundbites can be cringy at times, but he's a modern manager who uses more modern terms, anyone who works in a professional industry (I work in the banking sector) will know terms like these get thrown around willy nilly, it's par for the course in HR in any company.

Brendan doesn't just throw cliches around liek "passion" "get stuck in" etc. He has a more modern mentality and his way of speaking reflects that. He isn't saying anything other managers don't say he just says it differently
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmmmm.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I ask do you work, you in college etc?

See my point is Brendan says something like "You train a dog, you don't train a player you educate them". He gets called David Brent for these type of things.

Yet if you've any experience of dealing with training or HR in a company this type of thing is industry standard. You talk about improving skill sets not training people. If you do something before it needs to be done it's proactive, things like this.

Like Brendan talks about mentality all the time, about players being of the right mental character to play for his team. He's basically saying he want's his players to be brave and mentally strong but expresses himself in a different manner then what we are used to hearing football managers say.

That's my point and he gets called David Brent for it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I work for one of the biggest television channels around, add to the fact it is American and the media is full of business jargon..... I still find the things the BR says at times completely head scratching.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree they can be cringy but you must come across people in your libne of work who talk in buzz words and phrases. I know in the banking sector I do all the time, they do my head in but that's the way it is.

Brendan is similar to that in that he likes to talk in a certain manner, it can sound strange in the context he uses it in as football is a cliched sport and we are used to a certain type of expression being used in it.

Whatever.

My team is in a great position with good players, excellent strikers and loads of money.

What exactly is the danger?

But anyway greatteams it doesn't really matter what he says or how he says it cause you can see it's working. A manage ris based on results alone and Brendan is getting them.

I refuse, point-blank to lower my comments to the level of that of the Mancs. I refuse, again, point-blank to write them off to the wilderness; again, that would be lowering standards, and I am a Red.

But to think that with the appointment of Mr. Happy, miracles will suddenly blossom at OT defies belief. I'm all for optimism and positive thinking, but United will struggle to get back in to top 4 next season. LVG is simply too unpredictable as to where he will take their club.

From my own perspective, Brendan Rogers is and will be a better manager than LVG, and that's all that matters.

OP, you could have said all that in a nice little six word sentence

"Next year is not your year"

Yes but then I'd be depriving myself of the opportunity to crowbar my little Ghost Train parallel in there

Then why did you bring it up? Twice?
And if I'm able to type articles like this while being simultaneously rogered in a confined space, it makes it all the more impressive, surely. If that doesn't deserve 5 stars, I don't know what does.

Penalty spot you're a complete mongaloid but that made me laugh.

Also I saw somebody comment that Rooney would be handing in a transfer request faster than you can spell RVP.

Stupid comment.

No United fan is smart enough to spell RVP.

Come on be honest, I'm interested to know. You see I have this little feeling that you just write WUM articles on various boards to get attention. I can't see the point in that unless you are honest enough to pin your colours to the mast...
