OP was hoping for honest opinions. Might get stick for this but here's mine.... you can bookmark if you want

Januzaj will go the way of Macheda IMHO. You wont hear about him five years from now. Personally I don't see why people think he's so good. He's decent but I see nothing to suggest such a great future for him

Januzaj only looked good because he was playing with worse players. It's a relative thing.

French, its not a serious post, but its damn funny seeing LFC fans getting their knickers in a twist

----------------------------------------------------------------------

You don't have to go to so much effort to wind up Liverpool fans. Usually just a LAL will suffice. Hell i've known people to get kicked from their match threads for saying 'Hi'

shít like this is wrecking this site, it's all he said this, I was banned, Admin etc.

Not really, the stupidity is in the fact that sterling has been head and shoulders above januzaj, and right now,his development is far more advanced.
If i thought different i'd have no problem saying so.
Leave out the bias it's clear to see sterling is the better player at this time,he has more assists and goals.
-------------------------

I think that most United fans had admitted that Sterling is better right now. Although some feel Adnan will develop to be the better player. You probably need to read the whole thread and ignore the idiot comments from the usual suspects.

only reason sterling get a start in that position is because he is playing with worse players. he wont get to play behind strikers if he was at united

Juan mata couldn't get a start behind your 2 strikers!

To me, Januzaj looks like he has more natural ability than Sterling.

But I think people forget what part managers have to play.

Henderson was ridiculed a couple of years ago, and now half the country are asking for him to start at the World Cup. That's down to his hard work, but mainly Rodgers.

I also think it's why Cleverly has looked so poor - because of the way Moyes set the team up to play.

So, difficult question to answer - you have to take Sterling at this moment in time as his performances are significantly better. But I believe that Januzaj can and may become a better player.

Januzaj can become a quality player,i'm not sure van gaal is the right guy to take him up a level, will he give him regular opportunities if we're to believe he wants the likes of robben etc???
right now, sterling is the kid with the world at his feet he's been ridiculously good for us this season, his development as i said has come on leaps and bounds under rodgers guidance.
It's the reality of things at this moment.

Giving youth a change is a large part of LVG's ethos. I am sure that a youngster as talented as Adnan will play a huge part in his plans.

If we really are targeting Robben, there is certainly space for both in the team. Robben usually play on the right, with Adnan playing on the left more often than not.

I'd actually say that Adnan has a better chance to develop under LVG than Moyes.

Who's going to be left out though to accomodate him?

Simple fact is that was down to the inept manager who didn't have the balls to drop one of them to encorporate him and not the tactical awareness to change the system!

The simple pace that Starling posess would improve utd 25% never mind his footballing ability!

Valencia I hope.

Summer will tell, the more he does'nt feature the quicker he'll regress,so you'll have to hope van gaal doesnt bring in a big money replacement for valencia with this rumoured £150m

I've watched that video. i vehemently disagree that Januzaj has more natural ability than Sterling. If JAnuzaj didn't play for United, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

posted on 20/5/14

it's way to early to say and they're both fantastic prospects / very young players

the end

Thing I'm impressed with regarding Sterling is his rapid change of direction, akin to Messi in that regard.

Janujaz just seems to have a Michael Laudrup type quality when gliding past players.

But, for sure, Sterling has produced more in their short careers so far and looks a real prospect with end product.

I wouldn't swap Januzaj for any player of the same/similar age, Sterling included.

"If JAnuzaj didn't play for United, we wouldn't even be having this conversation."

1. I don't like it when people use something that hasn't happened as the basis for debate. It's a silly thing to say. Why wouldn't we?

2. He IS playing for United. There's probably a reason why the club went out of their way to sign him up.

that is 100% true,

Even a competent manager wont play sterling behind our strikers, same goes for Januzaj. Mata and kagawa are more natural no10s than both.

we already have two high speed wingers that did feck all all season, Sterling would have improved us, but Moyes would probably start young and valencia ahead of him nayway

Even if he does buy a big money replacement, there is still space for Adnan to get plenty of football. He is already better than Young, Nani and Valencia. If he gets some of their play time then it will be fine.
