Because I think he is naturally more gifted.

It's big of you to say I'm entitled to my opinion. Perhaps next time you should lead with that, rather the insinuation that it's only because he plays for United that I hold that view.

He is. just nowhere near Sterling's level

silly statement.

Why is it silly, it's completely true. He's far away and above Sterlings level.

If Januzaj was better than Sterling then United would have finished above Liverpool

(if this argument sounds familiar, it's because United used it ad nauseum for years)

Now come on, you and I both know that O'Shea was better than Gerrard in his prime.

Fair dos, Gerrard has fought back, but until he can match O'Shea's trophy haul, he cannot claim to be better.

If you genuinely think that Adnan isn't a talented player then you know nothing about football. Or you are just a wum. Either way, pointless talking to.

As I said Elvis its people like you who kill a debate. I didn't say Januzaj is not talented. He is. just nowhere near Sterling's levels IMO. Now you are calling me a WUM and saying I know nothing about football just because you don't like my honest opinions!!

OP was hoping for honest opinions. Might get stick for this but here's mine.... you can bookmark if you want

Januzaj will go the way of Macheda IMHO. You wont hear about him five years from now. Personally I don't see why people think he's so good. He's decent but I see nothing to suggest such a great future for him

If thats backtracking then you got me.

You being entitled to your opinion is a different matter from why you hold that opinion. So you are entitled to said opinion but I was just trying to hypothesise the reason as to why anyone would hold that opinion.

" I was just trying to hypothesise the reason as to why anyone would hold that opinion."

Exactly.

Because beneath the attempts to try and accept that your opinion is not the only valid one, you actually believe you are right and the only possible explanation for an alternative opinion is club bias.

What a shame that us United fans can't present a fair and reasoned opinion like you can.

Dear me.

Perhaps I should have added 'so far' at the end of my statement.
Sterling has been ahead of Januzaj for their entire careers so far.....

Should think about the children and be more specific next time which I will do

Macheda was talented as well. After all he was at Manchester united, wasn't he? Or did you have an untalented dud on your books? So talented as Januzaj is (He cant see Sterling though) I cant see him being good enough for where United will want to be in the next five years so i can see him going the way of Macheda.

Sterling is a year ahead of Adnan in terms of first team football. Compare Adnan's stats this year to Sterling's last year and they are very much the same.

Sterling is by far the better player. However both are very young and anything can happen when they reach their peak. For me Sterling seems like he will reach a higher peak but again this is based on what I have seen so far and anything can happen.

Do you remember when Ronaldo first came to United?

Remember the name 'the fake Ronaldo'?

Fans watch their players live. They have an instinct about their potential.

Sure, we're wrong lots of times.

But dismissing the idea that Januzaj might have more potential than Sterling because of one season in the prem is the only nonsensical view I've seen around here.

How many full matches of Januzaj did you watch? what are they?

why is it so difficult to answer these questions?

Based on what?

The lad has done more this season that Macheda did in his time at United and is going to the world cup. He has also been linked with some of the top teams in Europe before we tied him to a new contract.

You are just on the wum. Just admit it.

Sorry Screen

I cant be bothered to try to remember who it was against but I'm sure I,ve seen Sterling at least 20 times maybe even more. Long story short is that if you are trying to suggest I haven't seen enough of him that won't fly. I watch as many EPL matches as I can. Your season has been enjoyable to me so I've tuned in quite a lot to your games this last season.

That sounded believable.

Its hard to tell how young players will end up. Rcardo Queresma(sp?) was rated higher than C.Ronaldo but it was the latter who has done more in his career.

So Sterling may have done more than Adnan so far, but that means nothing in the long run. Both of them have to keep working at it and achieve their potential. Otherwise we'd be looking at another Ricardo or Recoba or other such players and be thinking "what could have been"。

Yes i do believe that your love for your club blinkers you a bit when it comes to this debate. Nothing wrong with holding said belief. i don't see the problem there.

As for Utd fans being unable to present a fair and reasoned opinion like me, I don't see what thats got to do with me. i don't even know where that comment is coming from!!!

so you are saying you have watched 20 FULL MATCHES but cant remember a single one, yeah very believable

Sterling is the next Aaron Lennon, andros Townsend etc etc. starts off excellent mainly due to his pace but IMO will soon get found out.
Januzaj has much more about him and in 3-4 yrs time there will be simply no comparison. Januzaj will be streets ahead.

Again, I did not dismiss the idea I just do not agree with it. You can only give your opinion based on what you've already seen. What we've seen so far is that Sterling is better than Januzaj. If this changes tough luck for us (I cant see it but this is football) Talking about potential is speculating about an unknown future. I'm going on what I've seen so far which is all you can go on.
