We can still have morals developed from various religions without actually having religion

What about parallel universes?
Where do people stand on that?

Probably on the ground like we do here
Tane was always my favourite Maori god, him or Ra.

"I mean, does it really impact on your life if someone else does or doesn't believe in God."
in normal, every day life, no, but considering the number of wars that have occurred due to religion, and the ongoing differing interpretations of religions that terrorists use to justify their actions, then for many people, yes, it does have an alarming impact

Does it really matter if there is a God or not?
I mean, does it really impact on your life if someone else does or doesn't believe in God.

It's never about the individual though is it. I doubt anyone has an issue with a person because of their religion. The issue is the religion as a whole.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People take out their issues with mass religions on individual believers of said religion on a regular basis. It's no less ignorant or poorly founded that the religion they claim to be so intellectually superior to
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When you say "take out" what do you mean?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
An example would be someone on an internet forum having a go at someone who happens to be a Muslim, purely because they are one, using criticisms/insults that are general to the religion as a whole without having any idea of that individual's personal beliefs

In Samoan mythology,Tagaloa (also known as Tagaloa-lagi or Tagaloa of the Heavens/Skies) is generally accepted as the supreme ruler, the creator of the universe, the chief of all gods and the progenitor of other gods and humans. Tagaloa dwelt in space and made the Heavens (lagi), the sky, the land, the seas, the fresh water, the trees and the people. Samoans believed Tagaloa created nine heavens (lagi tua iva). After Tagaloa made the islands, the humans developed from worms.
Instead of having faith in something that might not exist and in turn accepting our helplessness......why not have faith in humanity

To be fair, it's not a pretty sight seeing a christian married couple spontaneously vaporise every time a gay wedding is performed.
I mean, surely that must happen seeing as anti gay marriage people seem to think it affects the validity of their marriage? But that's for another time

It's funny when people that have nothing to do with religion go on about 'evidence'. How

The Prince Philip Movement is a religious sect followed by the Kastom people around Yaohnanen village on the southern island of Tanna in Vanuatu. According to ancient tales, the son of a mountain spirit travelled over the seas to a distant land. There he married a powerful lady and in time would return to them. He was sometimes said to be a brother to John Frum of the cargo cult. The people of the Yaohnanen area believe that Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the consort to Queen Elizabeth II, is this divine being. They had seen the respect accorded to Queen Elizabeth II by the colonial officials and concluded that her husband, Prince Philip, must be the son referred to in their legends.

------------------------------
Yes, it does. Because it irritates me that people should make a knowing choice to believe a myth over a fact.

What 'fact' is that then?
Metro, did you just claim we wouldn't know what was morally right or wrong if it wasn't for religion, or have I misunderstood?
-------
No, that's not what I was saying.
But just out curiosity (and i'll use an extreme example) - why is intercourse with, lets say a 15 year old girl morally wrong ?
Because law says so ?
Perhaps if you want any type of evidence you should get closer to religion and study how and why people actually believe and their experiences..
