And no one has said how bombing a house destroys a tunnel.
-------------
To be honest with all the deaths this has been overlooked a little. I think the mass destruction of the civilian infrastructure of Gaza is barbaric. I have not really heard of any valid reason for this tactic. The fact that they've been delivering warnings to such houses is proof that they weren't targeting any particular militants inside. It is simply collective punishment and will have left thousands of people homeless and penniless.

If it's winding down as you say lets just highlight a couple of things. Israeli civilians killed, 2 or 3. Palestinian civilians killed, unknown but in excess of 1,000. The Israeli soldiers carrying out an elected governments orders will have to live with the evil on their conscience.

renoog the reason they give is, bombs/rockets are stored in the houses they've destroyed or Hamas members live there

Mass murder, a region that is in rubble with dead still under the rubble, no power, no medical supplies and a run down hospital, no aid, orphan kids.

Just a normal day in Gaza.

But they've blown up schools and hospitals and shelters so i find it hard to believe they're specificially targeting Hamas locations. Its just like you said, punishing the palestinian civilians as much as possible.

The Palestinians in Gaza will not prosper while they support Hamas.

Neither will they prosper while Israel occupies their land

The first reason seems valid, but based on the evidence so far it seems they're relying on extremely flimsy intelligence which results in care homes, schools and shelters being bombed. The second is collective punishment, against international law and supposedly a tactic that they'd phased out. But war is a handy cover for acts of terrorism (let's call a spade a spade).

The Israeli soldiers are guilty, the Israeli government is guilty, the people who put their cross against Net an are u. are guilty and while i'm at it the "fundraisers in America and England are guilty. They send money and support this evil regime. I use the word regime cos State or Country gives the Israeli's a respect they don't deserve.

Hamas' resistance has grown as the Israeli occupation has grown.

Hamas, if i recall correctly, no longer even have a mandate to rule. Weren't the elections well over a whole term ago?

Gaza is some way off being able to host peaceful elections that are free from outside interference.

Let the people vote - Stop making them suffer.

One thousand plus civilian deaths. Were they an accident ? If not, then surely someones responsible.

What do we make of that Morsi character resigning due to moral reasons?

Do we dissect her past and her character to see if she's worthy of making such moral judgements or do we take it at face value - Someone giving up their job out of disgust at the passiveness of our government over such a serious matter?

I suspect many will do the former.

You mean Warsi?

I don't think Camoron gives a toss. During his government people have come and gone. He will continue to blindly support Israel. Even the US have been more outspoken than Camoron.

Yet he was the one, in 2010, who described Gaza as an open air prison.

Although i'm not sure whether he expressed (dis)approval of that or not.

If Hamas didn't hide in the civilian population, no civilians would be dead.

I don't know how they live with their despicable, death causing behaviour

If the tunnels were the target, they could have searched for them on the Israeli side of the border.

Firing 60,000 shells missiles and bombs do not help locate tunnels nor destroy them.

Indeed they can provide a deep crater from which fresh ones can be dug.
