It's relevant to the topic, so we will talk about it. Celtic fans are actively damaging themselves because of this.
If you don't want to talk about the co-efficient then leave the topic.
"It just doesn't read right. To me its not someone who has spoken English all their life as the structure is back to front at times..."
That's what we've been saying. It's from the Kerrydale site.
See all of this co-efficient stuff, it needs clarification.
The reason why we are rubbish is because of decades of poor coaching, and managers who play kick-rush football, meaning our game has become more of a scrum affair than anything resembling the beautiful game. This is why the dregs of europe pass their way around our cloggers.
Broon, Wattie, Jeffries, ahm looking at yooz!

I'll set them up Ish....
To clarify my earlier comments, I believe he DID have a work permit, which allows him to be paid by a UK company.
This, under football rules, makes him eligible for domestic competition, which is one of the criteria of the clause for registration.
That the UK government had not yet granted him a Visa giving him leave to enter the UK is completely different and, under the rules, nothing to do with Rangers, the SFA, UEFA or FIFA.
Seems a bit daft, but is, I believe, actually correct.
It is a non story. The whole thing was explained and clarified days ago.

Im loving this nonesense.
Think we should be o.k - he used to play in France which is part of the Schengen area, as is Slovenia. Schengen means that people holding a 'Schengen visa' can commute between other member states without going through any border controls. My understanding is that this would mean that he would be o.k to work within another Schengen state as he already holds the correct visa.
The U.K is not part of Schengen which is why we have our passports scanned everytime we travel in from abroad.
Gus... you're talkin' shengen again.
how long it take you to come up with that one?

It's not about where Slovenia is..it's about the rule stating, that for the player to be registered, he has to be eligible to play in that associations(SFA) domestic league. As Sunday proved, Bocanegra clearly wasn't...
And away we go
Technically he was eligible if you think about it, he just wasn't eligible to play in the UK.
Say for instance the Motherwell Vs Rangers game was played abroad, say in the middle east like the EPL was toying with doing a few years back, he would have been eligible. He could play in the league, just not in the country.
Say for instance the Motherwell Vs Rangers game was played abroad
++++
Just give up
Is that your argument against that then TCD? Not much of one. I was expecting you to have a reasoned and well thought out response to counter this. I R disapoint.
I'll tell you what was to funny, Lenny's radio rage after being pumped by lower league fodder, 21st August will forever be known as St Johnstones Day
Still, this is also too funny. Nowt to do with 'Lenny' either.
Yeah, Lenny dosn't have anything to do with this thread...........unless it was him who wrote the letter to UEFA
The funny thing is Boca will end up playing fine, Rangers will pump Maribor at home and Celtic will fail at Sion, then the Kerryfail Koontz (including Lennon) will be in anger overdrive
And you thought the above comment you made was reasoned
I read the rule which another poster has apparently, copy and paste from Uefa's site.In that rule, it clearly states that the player has to be eligible to play in the domestic league of the team that is registering the player...as Sunday would confirm, Bocanegra clearly wasn't...
Now, there could well be another rule stating that if a work permit has been granted, then a Visa alone does not disqualify the player.I have yet to see this rule though

whys that tcd?
Far from it. What exactly makes you say that?
This should be good!
He was eligible to play in the league, that is what the work permit is for. The Visa is to work in THIS country. He was registered to play for rangers by the SFA.
The visa would have allowed him to play in the SPL. Europa league is not the SPL.
As I say... a non story.
