We had a diddly stadium like yours once, did something about it

==

Yes, Arsenal did something about it. They sold their best players to fund a stadium,ok.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Which, again, takes us back to the original point of Everton remaining a selling club.

For the foreseeable future too.

In truth I'm not sure whether Everton have been relegated either.

Perhaps the OP could shed some light..?

Three times, spending just four seasons outside the top flight

Unlike arsenal we have never been promoted under dubious circumstances

We have spent more time in the top flight than any other club - FACT.

Thanks, BI.

I wasn't attacking you btw. I genuinely didn't know whether Everton had been relegated or not and, frankly, couldn't be bothered to check.

Yes you did,you sold your best players year in year out, went from a club that won the league to a club that is happy to finish in the top 4 whilst mugging off all it's supporters by charging the highest ticket prices to attend a game of league football in the WORLD.

Are you happy that you are paying more to watch lesser players on the field??

posted on 8/10/14

Fack me, aren't there ANY intelligent Toffees on this forum?

posted on 8/10/14

I would pay to watch my team regardless of onfield success, surely as an Everton fan you'd understand that

Or have there been 0 price rises since 1994?

That club has always lied.
They lie about attendance, they lied about wage structures and they bribed their way in to the league.

You couldn't find a club with less class.

Following a club without success for 20 years and counting = dedication

Following one without success for 9 = mugs

Right lads?!

I agree, we could be in the unibond and I would still turn up every home game to watch everton play. I kept going when Walter Smithwas in charge so I deserve a medal

You are paying more than supporters of teams that win the league.

So you are happy that the club you support have systematically sold it's best players and replaced them with lesser players whilst increasing the cost to watch these lesser players on the pitch.

Says a lot about the Gunners supporters and also explains a lot of how the owners and manager have lessened your expectations

No one is denying our season ticket prices are too high, but go ask a Man City supporter why their attendances for home CL matches are so low.

Go on...

Be fair, they have to charge more because they have more empty seats.

Yes you try and shift the topic to Man City.
I dont blame you though. You've had your a$$ handed to you on this thread.

Supply and demand lads

Season tickets are sold out so clearly there are thousands of people ok with paying

Matches on general release also regularly sold out, so once again the prices are set accordingly

Idiots who have match tickets and choose not to go? That's their choice and it has no reflection on me or the club

Point avoided.

Really, if you're not going to bother discussing the points in hand, there seems little point in continuing this.

No it's a legitimate question that you are not willing to answer.

Tell us all that what I said is untrue, explain to us how Giroud was an upgrade from Van Persie.Tell us Arteta was an upgrade on Fabregas, tell us over that same period the prices never went up.

posted on 8/10/14

Well of course we're not happy about that.

Does that question even need asking then?

You guys are naive in the extreme if you think exactly the same thing won't happen to you in due course.

posted on 8/10/14

phil, perhaps you joined the discussion late, but the points you've raised were not the ones we were discussing.

Apologies if I was unduly harsh when replying to you.

So it wasn't a rant and you now admit you are not happy to be charged more to watch poorer quality players in an Arsenal shirt, which by the way I totally understand and agree with you.

Now you are surmising our board will do the same as the Arsenal board did.

Unless you can see into the future then can I say 'I'll wait and see what our board does when/if we move to a new stadium'
