didn't really know much about ings before this season, seen him live now twice and each time have been really impressed, good touch, strong and is very pace, because he hasn't got a nice sounding foreign name I'm sure alot of fans will be disappointed but id take him and think he would do well
What would you consider the right price?
£4m-£8m being quoted.
Maybe worth the punt. Similar strike rate to Berahino and people are talking about £20m for him. Insane.
buy him.
young, English, and in form.
how old is he? and what is rumoured price?
AS ABOVE...I CAN'T really base an opinion on him...as i've seen so little of him.
is he a target man....clever...tricky on the shoulder type....!?

only the muggy scousers would pay that
Out of contract in the summer but worth alot of money to Burney if he keeps them up, he's just turned 22 so between 5 and 7mill maybe.reminds me of Shane long in the way he plays, but more clinical, always chasing down and likes to run at and commit defenders, got a bit of everything, looked really quick and is decent in the air
sounds like a striker that would excel under Poch.
problem is our fans - loads of them want us to sign some world class striker as its realistic, and despite the success of the unglamorous Harry Kane, lots of spurs fans would turn their noses up at this suggestion.

I meant as *if its realistic
Burnley would be due some compo in the summer - not sure how much, so that might add to the price. If they were to maybe get £3m in summer, why sell for £5m now? That's why it might be more like £8m i guess.
Just watched this. Championship to be fair, but that celebration for second goal is priceless.

Would be underwhelming. Idc what others say, we should be aiming for top 4 quality if we want to get to that level and he isn't that
Define top 4 quality.
More often than not it is the sum of parts rather than the parts themselves.

here we have the classic spurs fan.
who should we be getting? benzema?
what proven champions league striker is available in January and would come to spurs ffs.
Totally agree chronic, if his name was dani inglasis our fans would love to sign him,
Having said that, he has 5 league goals this season playing for a team scrapping for survival. Soldado has 7 since he joined us.
----
Fack that's poor. Harry Kane already has seven this season as well.

Classic spurs fan for not wanting a Burnley-level striker in Ings? Signings like him are only gonna keep from competing with the likes of Arsenal and Utd properly. We have far too many average players at the club. We should have been all over Bony but fair enough if he wants to sit on City's bench, go for someone like Benteke

you doughnut.
Harry Kane struggled when on loan at Norwich... so you don't want him either right?
Norwich were about Burnley's level...
go for someone like Benteke
--------
Benteke is not a proven top 4 striker.. which is what you said in your original post.
where is your consistency?
do you want a proven top 4 striker or not? if you do then why are you talking about Benteke?
btw... I also wouldn't mind signing Benteke, depending on price.
we should consider all options.
Benteke is one, Ings another.

So because Kane has been an exception in regards to looking like an average player at a lower club and has improved greatly, that means any old player at one of the bottom clubs will?
Wouldn't Berahino be a better bet anyway? I do think he's overrated, however, I think he's got the right attributes to improve Spurs and he and Kane seem to be doing quite well together for the under 21's, so there's potential in that partnership.
