I don't even know how Rodgers will persuade him to stay, it's gonna be an interesting summer.

He doesn't have to. A 2 year contract should do that just fine. Personally I'm more than happy to get rid of the snivelling little shíte for as much as we can get. No surprise this hasn't been leaked until after the last home game of the season.

Sterling to me is like selling Danny Murphy in 2005. Big fekin deal.

Agree with above. The timing after the last home game smells of cowardice to me, doesnt want the fans moaning at him.

Could this be the consequence of Gerrard retiring having never won the Premier League? Sterling looks at the likes of City, Chelsea, United and even Arsenal and sees them linked to or already having world class players.. You'd think that domestic honours are going to be pretty slim pickings for those outside of the top 4 in the coming seasons. City and United will buy their way out of trouble, you'd expect Arsenal to continue in the vein of signing Ozil and Sanchez, whilst Chelsea are already a pretty complete Premier League team under Mourinho.

Who is there at Liverpool with experience of winning anything? Even the manager is pretty amateur.

So it comes down to Sterling wanting to walk into a ready made trophy winning team. That's weak and the opposite to ambitious IMO. He wants it all on a plate for himself. His performance's in our big games this season tell me he doesn't have a winners mentality.

If Sterling had the season Suarez did last year then maybe you could say, fair play, he is by the far the best player in the team and has outgrown our club and if he wants to go then fair enough, but is he the best player at your club? Id give that title to Sturridge. Sterling is still in the 'potential' category right now.

Also, everything that's happened so far is what Sterling wants as several journos (Dan Roan, BenSmithBBC) have pointed out. So his advisors are doing what Sterling wants them to do. I Dont think he's that naive.
