Also, if Sterling was looking up and seeing Lovren as a passing option, it would mean he was running the wrong way on the pitch, wouldn't it?

Yoursel is decent. I've read his work.

"Ibe is much much better anyway…. apparently."
I've never agreed with this, but it's a debate that's been going on for 3 years now, with a lot of people saying longer term Ibe has more potential.
So if you're trying to twist it into a dig that it's a conveniently timed argument, you're miles wide of the target.
I don't think he is, but it's definitely an old debate.

I could easily argue that you've merely succumbed to everything that the Sterling camp has been putting out there, because that suits what you want to type on here.
I'm happy to acknowledge that both parties should share some responsibility. But ultimately, my instinct is telling that Sterling and /or his reps have been manipulating the whole thing.
If you want to say that BR shouldn't say what he does in press conferences, then fine, I agree that he sometimes says more than he should. But I couldn't say with as much certainty as you seem to be able to, that he does it out of malice or to bully his 20 year old players into accepting a ridiculous amount of money. I'd just say he's being naively open.
