The Q spinoff might be actually quite interesting…
But still, who’s gonna go to the Cinema when they just gonna dump it on Stream a week after release! 😡.
Holy crap just saw the Bond news. It was nice knowing you Bond, at least we have all those classic movies to look back on. Very little confidence in Amazon not to ruin it and oversaturate us in mindless spinoffs and inferior quality.
Only thing they could do to get me remotely interested is if they announce a Logan-esque old man Bond movie with Brosnan returning. Especially as his reign as Bond was cut short.

More likely a multiversal type thing where they bring back all the Bonds including a CGI Connery and the new Bond has to round them all up and send them back to their universes.
Yeh after hearing the amount of sheet Cavill had to battle thru for Warhammer I am expecting them to finally destroy the legacy of Bond that was already waining and on the ropes. Cos I don't expect they will bring anyone in to champion Bond. But as above where exactly does the spy movie genre go, feel like they have been beating a dead horse for a couple of decades now......

I know right, it's horrifying
For sure we're getting all manner of shaite and spinoffs etc. Q the school years etc . Or "content" as Amazon calls it
Moneypenny: One Woman's Journey
To be a fly on the wall at Amazon HQ watching in horror at all the Bond related stuff they're now greenlighting lol
Yeah actually realised how good that sounded when I was typing lol
Amazon will probably make Bond like Citadel and all the various Citadel spinoffs. Doesn't say much tbf
At least we can finally get a gay James Bond like we've all been crying out for

Mission Impossible has been doing well in that time. Better made films than Bond as well imo. Having said that, they're coming to an end this year.
Don't know about films but I think the spy genre will throw up a few gems in TV series. I'm looking forward to the next Night Manager and Slow Horses.
There is a school of thought that Bond in its current format is now overtaken by events and will continue to struggle unless some contemporary creativity occurs. People who grew up with misogynistic, womanising, elitist Bond are dying off now, and Gen Zs and Alphas aren't down with that sheet.
To be fair they tackled mysogeny head on as far back as Goldeneye when Dench became M
But yeah theyll have to severely modernise whilst keeping the Bond identity....not easy
Gay or Trans Bond incoming.

Times have changed. Amazon has realigned.
Next Bond is more likely to be Andrew Tate.
It doesn’t bode well, Amazon Prime content is usually crap
The Bond character is what he is. Making him work in such a woke era is a challenge and you have to worry that Amazon change the character to a point where he bears little resemblance to the character as written by Fleming.
I think they should actually lean into what Bond the character is even harder. Take the whole thing back to the 50's/60's and set it all there. Including all inevitable spinoffs etc. That way they wouldn't have to change anything about Bond as it would be a historal piece set in it's time.

007 Road to a Million was a shameless cash grab and seeing that's all we have to go on so far regarding Amazon related Bond content it's about as bad a start as it gets.
The best stuff on Amazon like Reacher, Terminal List, Jack Ryan etc aren't pure Amazon productions, they're only partly made by Amazon. Stuff that's purely Amazon are The Rings of Power and Citadel which haven't been well received and what Amazon Bond will most likely resemble.
Seeing Amazon have full and sole creative rights to this is fairly terrifying if you're a Bond fan.
Amazon Prime is a mixed bag, but I can literally say the same about any studio or streamer right now.
The bigger worry isn't their movies will be bad, there's already bad Bond movies. It will be them trying to franchise the character to death.
Well yeah that's what we're all afraid of with Amazon in full creative charge.
