I used to love the text adventure games. Zero graphics. Great fun.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Far to difficult for me.
Go north. You can't.
Go south. You can't.
Go east. You can't.
Go west. You can't.
Turn off and put football manager on.

Games today though are to big and too time consuming, amazing graphics but I like to pick up and play and play and put down.

Agreed. Or maybe you just get older and dont have the time to sit down for 2 hours anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you get old and CAN'T sit down for 2 hours without geting pins and needles/ a dead leg.
I used to go on teletext and press different buttons. The text colour would keep changing. I thought that was an actual game I was playing ffs

You have arrived at a field there is a ball what do you want to do?
Use foot to kick ball. What with?
Use foot. What should I do with foot?
Kick ball. How should I kick the ball?

Flash we're about the same age and this thread is making me feel old as well.
I used to play a game called Bomb Jack on the Amstrad. Also another one called Renegade. Great games for their time.

For the Amiga fans out there, this is a cool wee site to while away the wee hours:
http://www.lemonamiga.com/
youtube channel too.
As a kid my favourite was the Dynasty Warriors games, as I got older it was gta etc, I'm still young enough to play video games more than any normal person and my favourites are Uncharted, Assassins Creed and the Elder Scrolls games.
Sonic 1 - Never forget that feeling when mu mum and dad bought me and my bros the Sega megadrive
I went from there until I found premier manager, even as a small kid i played premier manager for hours on end and slowly graduated to Championship Manager - champ manager 2.
CM 97/98 was awesome, those games evolved as I grew up and the more in depth it go the more i was into football. then it was football manager all the way.
Its only been recently as I have got older I have actually got into the more mainstream games, i have about 900 hours clocked on dayz ( i know ) but since I have bought the house im skint and got nothing better to do.
other than the football games my all time fave game was uncharted 2 though
Wish i could get a decent Amiga emulator on my Android. Really wanna play SWOS 96/97 again.
Dynasty Warriors is a cracking game. I still play DW 6 occasionally.
