You guys are missing the point here. ISIS is not a muslim organisation but a group of lunatics. They are a well financed and well armed group of lunatics serving a purpose in a global conspiracy.

It makes no difference if the entire world, bar members of ISIS state that they are not following the religion. In their opinion they are. It seems you have a problem with people on here stating that ISIS is an Islamist (albeit extremist) group. The fact that they claim there are an Islamist group means they are, your opinion doesn't count here.

At this point we should be looking at bringing, in my view at least, the role of capitalism as we know it into play and how that affects us socially.

Russell Brand, I think, is at his best when addressing these kinds of issues. I imagine that joining some group - even a nutty one like ISIS - gives rise to a sense of purpose and belonging in people that otherwise wasn't there before.

This is the part of the discussion that gets much more complicated and is or should be worthy of a thread of its own.

You know what, if someone showed some of KFCs comments to people who aren't on this forum and said they were the words of an ISIS recruiter, everybody would believe you.

One of the reason it does not make news is that we how agressive Muslims protest against a cartoon yet do so little when it comes to terrorism. This despite the fact that terrorism is doing more damage to the brand Islam than a million cartoon will ever do.

It's a small paragraph and I made sure to use the words "some".

I then provided a link to an article that proves that SOME soldiers are raping others. It's clear that it is the minority.

Thise two things combined should make it clear to healthy brain that I am not talking about most soldiers.

It would help massively if all schools across all nations simply explained the truth about religion and that it is total fantasy. The fact someone is capable of believing that if they follow a certain book correctly they'll be rewarded by an eternity of pleasure or by failing to an eternal damnation, this of course leaves them open to radicalisation.
