Aberdeen have already eclipsed their co-efficient points from last year in this season's campaign, while the non-OF teams points this season have eclipsed anything earned in the last 12 years!
Dropping below Italy is a genuine possibility this year. West Ham are already doing their very best to outdo last season's abysmal performance and it remains to be seen how the likes of Leicester and Spurs will fare in the CL.
If United and Saints don't take the Wafer Cup seriously we could end up in trouble.

This time it’s real! Do Leicester, Spurs, West Ham and Arsena et all have the bottle to take this one to the Italians?

Are you saying the fate of our coefficient is in the hands of Leicester, West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal?
'Ucks sake
do not fear Everton has got English clubs to a good start, Ken has won a trophy at last on pointless.
Not sure what we'll contribute to the coefficient. Should get an easy group and make the knock outs but after that I'm not sure how Mourinho will treat it.
We are currently favourites and we have a squad capable of winning it so I hope we take it seriously, we need to improve our own coefficent as well as it's been dwindling after the failures in the last few years in Europe. We've never won it either, so I hope we can win it for this reason.
A PL title challenege and a real go at the ropey cup don't go hand in hand. The competition is awful. Far too many teams/games.
Man this is tense..
I'm so glad Coefficient season is back, with our main man bill minty!
It's just shame England's saviours Liverpool aren't in Europe..

Perhaps if you were not such a shambles you could help us out
We've helped out the coefficient more than all those teams bar Arsenal.
I don't dispute that at all. Your poor recent European performances have contributed to the decline just as much as anyone else's though. Talk about undoing all the hard work

TBH our points return in Europe is decent per season it is just the season we missed out on Europe completely that gives us a lower points total, the blame falling on the team who replaced us doing a crappy job.
I think per season (actually in Europe) only Chelsea and Arsenal have contributed more.

again, i don't dispute that. united have over the years contributed a lot in terms of the coefficient… and so they should.. you are the biggest club in the land, by quite some distance…. you ought to be pulling your weight, which you have done, up until recently.
But the way you're putting it across would suggest we aren't helping out. When it actual fact we're helping out more than most, despite being a shambles by our standards.
Why did our win against AC Milan do for us in the coefficients in the International Champions Cup?
