The short answer is.....you watch the italian league, what do you know about getting excited
But at the same time you, of all people, should be getting behind this chase and breaking out your pompoms to cheer on all the Italian teams. Just think of the possibilities and potential outcomes if Italy steals a CL place away from England.
Look at the new money power in Russia. The league is competitive and has the potential to knock France or Portugal back a few steps

Taking an interest in the coefficient points doesn't take away from what happens on the field. This is just another layer for consideration in the changing face of european football.
If its not for you then toddle along.
Me, however, I'll be keeping an eye on it as I find the dynamics of the situation extremely interesting.
Big win for PSG and France tonite.
No points for England.
Benfica's last minute winner and clean sheet against Zenit could turn out to be massive!
Didn't Fenerbahce also beat a Russian team tonight in the Europa?
So they did!
So only one team left to play this week then, Krasnodar away to Prague. Prague came through a fairly straight forward group unbeaten. Krasnodar topped their group that contained Dortmund.
They could do with putting on a good show.
Italy have it tough this week too. Could be a watershed period in the 3rd/4th race.
Roma v madrid
Fiorentina v spurs (biiiig coefficient battle!!)
Gala v Lazio
Villareal v napoli
I didn't realise how tough the draw was on Italian teams. Can see us and United progressing and Spurs are definitely capable of going through but it really depends on what team they put out.
Unless Juve go and win the champions league I'd expect England to hold onto that 4th spot.
Yeah England are definitely in a strong position in that regard. However, it could all turn on a dime.
If i were a betting man (and I kinda am) I'd say Utd, Liverpool and City should make it through to the next round.
Lazio and Napoli from Italy.
Fiorentina v Spurs and Juve v Munich are very much up in the air I'd say.
That Fiorentina v Spurs game could be crucial.
Now, not meaning to sound like a d!ck, but assuming Leicester do qualify for the Champions league next year, and there still being every chance of West Ham, Southampton (or both) making it into the EL, there could be quite a few big names missing out, such as Utd, Chelsea and LFC.
It could be, on paper at least, a relatively weak group of english teams representing next year.
Italy is set gain about 4 points at the beginning of next season due to 11/12 points dropping off.
this race is just in its infancy.
I saw somewhere that the premier league is considering offering prize money to teams who progress through the KO stages of the Europa to help preserve its 4 Champions League places...

Love this, Europa is really where the battle hinges though
Not sure I'd call Napoli a big club...

Fiorentina v Spurs is big.
As will be the outcome of Zenit v benefits.
I find it all rather exciting.
I'll update this tmw, but I think that's Italy's race run. Dreadful week for them
Waiting for that update Manfrom. Hope we've done enough. Spurs did well to smash Fiorentina.
