It will help now there is a CL spot at the end of the EL,
But yeah, english teams should have been trying harder in it for quite some time.
Our teams should be rewarded for going out early because it shows how good the Prem is that our teams have to deliberately be terrible in Europe. No foreign team has ever been better than a Prem team. They either cheated or we didn't try. End of.
West Ham being the embarrassment they were int he Europa certainly hasn't helped.
Although, Sampdoria has also crashed out to some Serbian team.
I really hope we put on a good showing this year, but we seem to struggle with multiple competitions under rodgers

Won't really make much of a difference as they were a bonus team through fair play.

I could see myself starting to move toward an opinion of the Europa being the number 2 priority behind the Premier league now.

Their points accumulated still count though. One less tem in the comp means one less team to gain points.
If Italy do take over then one of the big teams in England will miss out,for me that would be great to see the big 4 teams City,United,Chelsea and Arsenal fighting for only 3 spots.
It will certainly shake things up and make the league at the top end more competitive.
Italy wont take over, juve will have a crap year in the champions league as normal and the gap will grow
I think we should be ok. It's unlikely Serie A will get as many points as they did last season. They have an advantage in the Europa over prem teams but in the CL I'd fancy the prem sides to accumulate more points.
Though, of course, a lot depends on the draw in both comps.
Liverpool won't be top seeds and there's some decent sides in the Europa so could get a tough group.
Italy won't do as well as England this season. Juve have been severely weakned and the rest of them are shiite.

good old Phil
We'll have to wait and see what happens with the draw. Roma have a low coefficient so could get another tough group. Same with Lazio if they get past Leverkusen.
City, United and Arsenal would all be second seeds so it gives us more of an advantage in the draw.
The Europa is a different matter, however. Especially if Southampton go out.

If it wasnt for Chelsea we'd probably have lost it a few years ago
Generally want English teams to do fairly well in europe, they represent the English and premier league after all, but if it means we lose spots then even more so. Recently we've been more disappointing collectively then Englands national team.
Still expect every fan in England bar Man Utd fans to support Club Brugge despite probably affecting there club chances of CL football.

Id prefer you to make the groups play more games, qualify and get dumped out 18-0 aggregate by Barca or someone. Makes more sense.
Man Utd 2010-11 run to CL final had a lot of wins and a lot of uefa cofficient points that go away.
Thats why currently we are only 3.804 points ahead.

We have to basically beat Italy this season to keep our spots. Fail to do so and we will lose our 4 spots.
Hopefully Germany do crap and Serie A overtake them.
