I have this rule.
If I am speaking with someone for the first time I will call us (as in United) United.
Once we (the person I am speaking with and I) have established who I support I then refer to United as 'we' and 'us'. No problem with that IMO.
Whether we (JA606 posters) will agree entirely on this I don't know but I would think we (JA606 posters) are seeing which way this is going and I am sure that is good enough for us (JA606 posters).

I bet you've flaunted the rules you lawbreaker you.

No I have not! We fans of us should stick together!

Always wondered why 4za wrote Manchester Us
I support Barcelona but dont say we or us because I dont live in Spain or Barcelona or have an emotional connection with the club, but they are my favorite foreign club. I do say we and us when talking about Feyenoord because I have been a fan since childhood, went to matches, have a club card, buy kits, etc, so I feel connected to the club and consider to be a true Feyenoord fan.
I get called out by this whole we/us bulllshit by my mates. It's ridiculous since they're on the ABU train from day 1.
My non footballing friends have pointed out me and my friends use of we and us when discussing our football teams.
It's something I'll never change, I only won't see we or us if I need to specify to the other person who my team is.
I also use you when talking to my friends about their football team, say talking to a Liverpool fan and telling them "you need a new keeper" (for example)
I could be 100 with tens of grandkids and a million pound mansion and I'm pretty sure I would still use we, us and even you to fans of other teams.
I was a bit busy moving to the Welsh riveria, Swansea!
Although the locals keep beating us (that's United btw) at football their okay apart from that.
Ah right, where did you reside before?
The Welsh, umm... You ever heard of that crappy reality show the valleys? Basically where I moved from. Newport is the closest major City, makes hull look like the posh part of London, lovely place full of friendly locals asking for spare change at the bus stop, just 50p to catch the bus home, that's all they need, little scamps...

I've never been but I know of the valleys.
Good to get you back on here bruv.
Need help with Jurgen Klodgers and his merry men.
I'm back to help fight the crazies!
Almost ended up making a martial article like my Shaw article showing how it's cheaper to go for this young talent in the long run than pay less for an older player you need to replace...
Luckily he started scoring goals and everyone stopped complaining about the price tag anyway.

Post it SAF - fack em!
Generally when speaking about the team I think I use we, us etc, but if discussing the club in general - non playing related - I think Spurs will creep in more
For example....
"WE played really well, I can see US having a real go this season"
Whereas you may get....
"SPURS don't have the financial power of other clubs, so WE have to improvise a little and box clever"
So if it was about International football nWo, would you use "we" then? Or still the name?
Shinji I might just do it anyway, see how I feel over the next few days.
I'd use we and us for the national team as well, for England anyway, find myself struggling when it comes to Wales and somewhat switch between us/them and Wales.
Didn't tend to use us and we when discussing the women's international football though, also us and we does not apply to any other sport for me national or club level.
Nothing wrong with Newport!

Millions of us support and contribute to the fight against cancer. If/when a cure is found, can we all then say WE cured cancer, or does the credit go to the scientists and medical people. Will we get a share of the Nobel prize that'll no doubt be awarded for that?
I'd certainly like NOBEL PRIZE WINNER in my CV

A whole post with no profanities!
Read something the other day - can't remember where - about particular viruses that solely target cancerous cells.
If it's ever to be 'beat' it will be by using something microscopic - such as this or nanotechnology - rather than the rather than the figurative sledgehammers we currently use
Nanotechnology and nanorobotics are incredible.
hinji I might just do it anyway, see how I feel over the next few days.
