watched the finale last night. Bit meh wasn't it. Good show overall but in danger of being a little too slow at times.

It does feel like we’re half way through a story. Favourite episodes were those in the prison, and loved the post credit scene at the of the final episode.

The prison arc was the highlight of season 1.

So what do we make of Syril Karen’s story arc… or is just me that felt a bit underwhelmed by it…

Don’t think there was anything else that was an an issue.
The Death Star Easter egg was sweet… and it made so much fooking sense why they had to work hard and fast for what the pieces were.
Imagine how many of those they had to make?

The Syril character is less interesting to me than others lm the show but I guess he's back in with the empire now?

As good as the show is, it still has flaws and Syril is one of them. What was the point of his arc in season 1? He worked for the empire, got fired, spent most of the season sulking and then ended up getting back into the empires good books by the end.

Ooh that GreenBay Eagles game was a cracker last night eh Cinci? Wooo… man just give the QB MVP to Hurts now.

Soz, yeh, I do feel cheated by the Syril Khan arc… think it would’ve been sweet to see Dedra get brutally Murdered by the crowd uprising.
And then seeing the Empire react to losing one of their rising stars. Syril Khan losing his mind adding to his obsession with Andor.
I dunno. Again, with time jumps happening in season 2, where does he go next.
He’s nowhere closer to getting Andor. They are nowhere closer to finding out who Luthen is.

And the ending, we assume he’s joining Luthen.
I wonder if Andor does actually does meet Saw?

I thought the Dedra scene was done brilliantly until Syril saved her and she looked at him like she was in love.

We know most of the characters in this show will die before episode 4, so wasting time on fringe stories like Syril isn't great.

Unfortunately, it seems Syril Karn did more for Coco-Puffs than anything else, and yet, it felt like they were building up to something really intriguing.
If its just a love story, yeh, we ain’t got time to tell that story, in this critical time in Andors world.

I think it would enhance her character development if she used him.

I can see him rising up the ranks next season and eventually taking her position

The only possible love story in this show that would work is Andor and Bix. Any other romantic story threads would be wasted at this point.

That's possible but he would need to grow up fairly quickly because at the moment, he's barely able to stand up to his mum, let alone climb up a pole as greasy as the one we've seen, within the empire.

One of them has to sacrifice the other. That's the empire in a nutshell.

Saving her I reckon he’ll be put into a significant position by the next time we see him.

I assume they be a big time jump coming

It's been confirmed that season 2 episode 1 will take place 1 year after the end of season 1.

It's entirely possible that Andor will already be an established soldier for Luthen at that point and Syril and Dedra may already be a successful unit within the empire.

Then it jumps a year every 3 episodes for s2.

Andor Ep 13..... oh..
