I actually went to see a college football game in the states many years ago. Very entertaining. Didn’t have the faintest idea what was going on but everyone seemed very excited which was fun to watch.

Iv done it, the atmosphere isnt much at all. you get cheers yeah but not the same chanting and getting behind the team , just boo's and cheers.

I take a british atmosphere any time (granted im a little spoiled as a rangers fans and creating an atmosphere is pretty much what we do)

they last ages !! the food is amazing in comparison.

Maybe I got lucky but the atmosphere I experienced was actually really good. A lot more supportive and less angry/adversarial than football games here that’s for sure!

Conversely, went to a baseball game and the atmosphere was practically non-existent. Nobody seemed to give the tiniest crap about the game. I guess when they play 150 games a year (or whatever it is), it’s inevitable that there’s less riding on the game. But damn, probably the worst atmosphere I’ve experienced as a sports spectator.

I think an NBA game would be entertaining to watch live.

Baseball,NFL and NHL less so.
