Bergkamp player until he was 35. And was mainly know at Arsenal for being a number 10.

Henry, Pires, Ljunberg, Overmars, Anelka and Wright. All these players were known from Bergkamp's creative brilliance.

Honestly, I cannot believe someone that has watched Bergkamp could question his greatness.

Bergkamp was an unreal player.

Surprised by Stretty when he's a person that has always been a person that has judged players so much on their technical ability.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not when a striker who scores 120 goals in 420 games

Have a bit of end product Ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cantona had a similar ratio in his career.

Neither were out and out strikers, why would you say they were both rubbish simply based on goals?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cantons played till he was 30
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is a terrible argument.

If he missed the winding down years of his career than his ratio should be even better.

ps I'm not slagging Cantona, the guy was a genius (so was Bergkamp, and Zola while we are at it)

----------------------------------------------------------------------The Dutch league has never been top drawer. Ever.

I asked you to give me examples of other top teams and you couldn't.

Ps Kezman doesn't play there now

When did you? PSV, Feyenoord were both very strong.

Rooney never played with the same brilliance Bergkamp did. Goal records are not everything.

I've caught the argument late, so I don't know whether he's being put in this top ten as a striker, in which case I wouldn't because I don't consider him a proper striker, but as a footballer he was unreal. Unreal. There's a reason some Arsenal fans consider him better than Henry.

Stretty is completely oblivious. He is only 26 and really has no clue about football before about 99.

Dutch league was probably stronger than the English league before the EU changed it.

No entire league in the history of football has ever been top drawer.

They can't all win the European Cup at the same time.

Dutch football was just about as dominant in the early 70s as English football was in the late 70s / early 80s.

Sorry what? Since when has league strength had anything to do with winning the league

Yeah some Arsenal fans are idiots. Doesn't change anything because they know those two players better than you do. And there is a reason many would consider him better, whether he is or not.

What's suspicious is bergkamps record and people claiming him to be a striker
