Cole had a broken leg, I would expect bergkamp to score more whilst Cole couldn't play ffs
=======
Both made 119 appearnaces.
England, whereas Bergkamp joined a team in turmoil and only just escaped relegation the season before. Yet still outscored Cole in the PL in his 4 seasons as a striker at Arsenal
------
I get it, you're an arsenal fan so don't really no about CL football and winning other things but there are other competitions that succesful clubs play in.
And in all comps which is what counts, Cole scored more
Game set and match.

Dunno where you get that from because from 95 to 99 bergkamp played over a 170 games for Arsenal
Ps don't care about only the premiership, were judging players overall.
And Cole scored more
Cole scored 69 in 170 games in all competitions
Bergkamp scored 68 in 153 games
But the very comparable totals in the same number of games in the same competition is a far better comparison

No it isn't. Because they still played in other completions
And btw your appearance stats for bergkamp are very wrong, I can tell that just form looking at his totals.
Bergkamps a top ten striker but he isn't even in the top 25 all time pl scorers? Why?
Why did he play nearly 750 games and have such a bad record?

His appearances are correct.
He played 5 European games for us in that time.
Played 33, 29, 28 and 29 in the league. Played a few cup games to boost the numbers.
Why? Because he played a lot in a deeper role in the PL.
We are discussing his time as a striker, not his overall career
He was always a striker
Even as a deeper one he was still a striker and he was chit at it.
Rooneys played that position he's played and scored 30 goals in a season. Bergkamp barely got past 8 😂
Your limited understanding of football well and truly highlighted.
Well done Stretty

I quite like Andy Cole, but he's below Bergkamp as a player. It isn't just about how many goals. Bergkamp had a new league to adjust to and spent most of his Arsenal years in his 30's. He didn't even spend all his time up front. Cole spent his peak years at United before the age of 30.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bergkamp was 26 when he joined Arsenal.
Cole was 24 and had deal with a double leg break.
Once again, a load of nonsense on your part <o>
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually they were 23 and 27 when they went to their clubs. Bergkamp stayed at Arsenal until he was like 36 when he retired, and Cole left when he was 30, thus Berkamp's overall stats are not going to look as good when he's well past his best. That's the point I'm trying to make.

-----------
Dennis Bergkamp signed for Arsenal as a 26-year-old in June 1995 for a fee of £7.5million from Inter Milan"
And Cole was 24 in October the year before we signed him on January 10th
Why you desperate to be wrong?
And as for the age thing that's bollox because plenty of players have scored more than bergkamp did in his 30s.

If you think bergkamp played the traditional number ten as it is now when playing in a 4-4-2 you have no Kielce of your own club. Give up. He was an attrocious goal scorer and the record books prove it.

You've had a mare you've tried to convince someone that scored a 120 goals in a decade is one of the top 10 strikers since the 90s
I watched bergkamp a plenty, wasn't a patch overall on most top prem strikers
His flicks and tricks were ok but his overall contribution was chit.
He got carried by Henry and Wright and Anelka for years.
I wouldn't expect someone who supports a club that employs a specialist in failure as a manager to know what a truly top player is however. You lot haven't had one since Henry anyway.
I have never tried to convince anyone of that
Bergkamp scored 197 goals in a decade as a striker, plus broke the Dutch national team scoring record.
If you want to be ignorant of his role at Arsenal once we evolved, so be it. Doesn't change the fact it happened
Now, lets get back to you thinking ONE goal in international football is the strike rate of a top 10 since 1990 striker

Plenty top players have been mediocre internationally and plenty chit ones have been good. See Healy and bergkamp for examples.
Coles goals secured us trebles and countless silverware.
Bergkamps did not.
Bergkamp didn't play for you.
But he won his clubs doubles, UEFA Cups and countless silverware, and helped his national team to tournaments and semi finals
A top player does it at international level.
And in Europe. Cole never bettered 5 goals in a single European campaign ffs
Andy Cole, top 10
Bergkamp couldn't even do it at club level
Coles best European season was five but his goals were vital to winning it.
Not something bergkamp would know about
Bergkamps goals led to three triumphs in Europe
