We are not governed by Europe now, we will never be governed by Europe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
EU law is supreme over UK law, i'm afraid we are its only a matter of degree.what we know is that the EU is taking more and more powers to the center.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, since 1972. But that does not mean the same thing as "we are governed by the EU" - it's nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Govenment lies with the lawmakers and courts,Eu regulation is supreme, Eu court is supreme over UK courts. As i said its only a matter off degree, the consensus is that roughly 60% of laws are made by the EU.
OUT
The EU keep telling us what to do and our net contribution is too high. When I was driving earlier there was a news story on the radio about the "think tank" which said our salaries COULD be £36 per week worse off by 2030 if we leave. If £36 per week in 14 years time is the worse case published by a Bremain supporting group using only sources they choose can come up with it doesnt seem that big a risk to me.
I dont like the EU overruing our laws as well.
Add immigration to that including huge numbers of Europeans who come here and immigrants from other countries who are declined entry to the UK, go somewhere else in Europe for a couple of years and get citizenship, then they move here. (I used to work with a Libyan who did this and says its quite common). **
one for you Henry
"the consensus is that roughly 60% of laws are made by the EU."
No it's not. The consensus is between 15% and 53% is influenced by the EU.
https://fullfact.org/europe/uk-law-what-proportion-influenced-eu/
Does that amount to being governed? I'm not so sure.
Do you think that percentage is likely to rise, fall, or remain the same in the future?

I did say roughly and i got that figure from a german study if i find a link i'll post it.
Truth is nobody can give you an exact figure even the house of commons library because there trying to measure influence.
I don't believe for a second if we stay that number is going to stay the same or reduce. Do you?
Sizzle apart from your hate for torys which is irrelevant to this vote what else are you basing it on?
why is it that people that want to leave are happy with their choice and are quite laid back and people that want to stay come across as angry and have to nit-pick everything? what are you worried about?

I've noticed a trend with people that wan't to stay, you see a few facts or figures thrown into their arguments, or some consequences to support what they're trying to say.
Whereas people saying 'out' seem to cling to broad vague remarks about being in charge of our own country again, and tired cliches about not letting the EU tell us what we can and can't do.

I've just left the Enrgy industry after 15 years. there are a huge number of EU regulations coming into effect that will have a huge impact on our energy supply industry. I can only see it ending with increased gas and electric prices due to the extra bureaucracy. Thats just for starters.

You don't seem that laid back. You've used some kind of derogatory term pretty much every time you've replied to me.
And many people are calm about their choice because they've based it on a simple black and white issue given to them on a plate without actually reading into the subject. Some people really want to understand what they're voting for, or against.

Well, I might be wrong - but that sounds like a good thing? It's like people moaning about vacuum cleaners being limited, this is all good stuff, for the benefit of everyone. And as for higher prices, they're coming with or without the EU - I imagine the industry is happy for another scapegoat.
