Israel is still kicking people off their land and stealing it to this day...

It was wrong when it started and the wrongs are still going...

It's not as 1940's Germany suddenly become okay because the war had started a few years ago and that was all the past by now...

Although I do like that the defence of Israel basically boils down to can't change history...

You could just as easily apply that statement to the slave trade, the holocaust or any other number of horrific events.

It doesn't actually justify them whatsoever....

If we strip it back completely, it was our land to do with as we wished as it was British Mandated Palestine.

Just as it was the Ottoman's to do with as they wished previously, the Assyrians prior to that and the various others that have held it .

We tried to divide it, but one side were set against it.

Once Israel had decalred independence anyway they had a few wars declared on them and they kicked the aggresors behinds every single time.

I assume once Israel has existed for a certain amount of time you will accept it is righly their land.....that seems to be the way it works yeah? I mean the States only have about 250 years on the clock and you do not see them like this, and Israel are already knocking on for 70 now.

Most of the world supports Israel, our own country supports Israel, I support Israel. You support Hamas. I am happy with my choices as I expect you are.

TBH might does not equal right so I don't see what this has to do with anything.

Nobody has questioned Israel's military prowess.

But Natzi Germany were pretty effective militarily as well and that doesn't justify their actions.

I proposed Israel going back to their '67 borders, which is mighty generous considering they were a foreign people with no claim on the land to begin with.

Sorry Cal but if might = right or if having cordial relations with lots of countries mean they must be good then that applies to Natzi Germany just as much as it applies to Israel.

Or in other words they are both crappy defences of Israel as clearly shown by Natzi Germany they are meaningless.

Well respected people there.

And unlike Israel, they're there legitimately.

Funny thing is Koemans has been vocal about his opposition to immigration to the UK and in certain instances has even been racist. Yet Israeli's taking over Palestinian land and forcing them out is fine by him.

There's a difference between criticising the Israeli government/The UN for theIr actions against the people of Palestine and being anti semitic.

The Israeli government isn't being criticised because they are Jewish. It wouldn't matter if they were Muslim, Hindu, Buddist or Christian. What they are doing is wrong.

TBH the Muslim population in the area grew at much the same rate as the Christian... it was only the Jewish population that really exploded before the creation of Israel...

Also it should be pointed out that Hamas is a creation of Israel policies, do you think the French resistance formed because the French happened to hate Germans or to resist the invaders...

Its not even like the West with ISIS where we share some direct and a lot of indirect responsibility for their rise.

Hamas exist only because of Israel and its actions.

In fairness I imagine if any peoples had gone through what the Palestinians have the last 70 years by a single enemy they'd probably spout much worse rhetoric.

Think of the racism we get over here towards Muslims just because some of them haven't integrated fully....

If they'd come over kicked the Brits off our land and destroyed our economy people would start riots.

So we have native collaboration now being used as a defence of Israel.

Happened with the Germans in WW2 so probably doesn't mean anything as a moral justification.

I said that despite all Hamas evil Israel has caused far more misery and destruction.

Even if we take the kill count alone Israel has many many multiples of Hamas casualties, you are the deluded one if you think otherwise, even the most ardent pro-Israeli supporter would have to grudgingly accept they've killed far more...

Maybe you can't even accept the truth yourself?
