Good team. For me there needs to be room for Wood when fit though.

That partnership from Ashwin and Jadeya looks like it will give India a lead. They would be aiming to get a 50+ run lead. England need to break this partnership quickly in the morning.

Hopefully people start seeing the value of Ashwin in this India side. A constant thorn for England and that was a top knock despite him seemingly limping around as well. Good helping hand from Jadeja as well. However India aren't out of the woods yet - England will fancy their chances tomorrow morning and they have fought back well.

What people don't see the value of ashwin ???

Winks theres been a lot of questions asked about Ashwin by non Indian supporters really who don't particularly rate him. I can understand the reasoning behind it as the majority of his wickets have been at home but his batting average is pretty stunning plus even at home the wickets, five-fors still have to be executed. He sits top of the pile as the worlds best all rounder and rightly so. Invaluable player for us.

I still stand by team I posted the other day to beat SA in England.

Rashid and Moeen got a lot of abuse from some fans on here (probably after seeing both being taken the cleaners by Pakistan recently) but their stats suggest they like playing India

Rashid v others - 15 wickets @ 51

Moeen v India 26 wickets @ 26.34
Moeen v others 69 wickets @ 44.22

The one with Buttler at 8 and Woakes at 9 ?

Moeen got most of his wickets against India when the foolish Indians went gung ho ever over against him for some daft reason. Rashid has actually bowled well against India with the odd lucky wicket as u usual get.

Yeah the one with Buttler at 8. I think we should produce result wickets against teams at home and that's producing wickets like the one at Nottingham last summer where we knocked over Australia for 60.
Even if we lose the toss. we should just play attacking cricket and thats having an attacking batting line up in the lower order.
Until we find a world class spinner. I wont change my mind..Broad/Anderson/and woakes are our best options to win games.

England today bowled negative lines, and it's a very good reason why despite picking 4 wickets quickly they have let India reach so close.

On the other hand India lost patience and started playing way too many risky shots. Both kohli and pujara's wicket are a crime after being so well set and having played session leaving all those 5th stump line deliveries.

Re ashwin picking wickets home and all that crap, all the teams have played on the same pitches as Ashwin and yet only he was able to trouble the batsman and pick these 5-fers.

He single handedly destroyed SL in SL and WI in Wi. Unfortunately for ashwin he played in away conditions like aus and eng when he was still improving his bowling and more importantly under dhoni who never inspired confidence on any of our Indian bowlers let alone ashwin.

Woakes is bowling bang average here...

Shocking from England once again.. Once the wicket is slow. England have no chance of getting anyone out. Not even lower order players.
You have to find ways of getting the opposition out.6 bowlers and we look pathetic.

Just had a look at the amount of overs each bowlers as bowled.. Why as Moeen only bowled 11 overs???Batty hadn't bowled a ball before Moeen and hes bowled 16 now.. Oh yeah I forgot cook again.. Moeen ali is a number 4 batsman that's why..

As much as Cook has been a great batsman for us, i think he is a poor captain. Very negative.
He can thank Jimmy and Broady for the countless matches we've won thanks to their brilliance.

I think this game is away from us already

Batting 4th will be tough for India but can we overturn a 130+ deficit and make enough of a lead to be competitive?
