A good day for England. Could have been a bit better but that's hardly unusual. Well done to Moeen in particular. Good scores by Root and Bairstow too, not so good for the openers who will be extremely keen to do better in the second innings, for somewhat differing reasons.

This series was also going to be a stretch for us considering our previous in spin friendly conditions. Don't think we can be too harsh although think its time root got the captaincy armband

I reckon Root will be like the other three (Kohli, Williamson and Smith) where his batting will thrive with captaincy.

England making a good fight in this dead rubber.

Ali looking good, Root needs to work on his technique to push these scores on.

I am actually looking forward to the ODI's coming up. I think they will be alot closer than the test series

ODI should be good. Think Englands ODI team is to be reckoned with. Solid team and think the games will be a lot tighter than most may anticipate

I'm kind of surprised that we are finding ways to keep changing our playing 11 every single match. In some cases it's understandable I.e when you have injuries, but kohli is doing it every time now. We need to settle it down, and we have already gone through a period kohli ruined it for our middle order when he dropped pujara to accommodate rohit Sharma. We have already had so many catches dropped this series and if we don't improve here we have no chance of even competing in away matches

Ben Stokes is not a number 6 batsman. he's one place to high..
