Where have LWE and Serial been all day?
Should have had leach out there. Best spin bowler in England but he didn't get picked . Because he can't bat . The selectors have made serious errors this tour. Why is Ballance being dragged all over India when he's never going to play? Same duckett. Send them on the lions tour and bring billings over. What on earth is Finn doing there? Can't get in the team when broad is injured and they pick 4 seamers. On a dust bowl . Total heads gone this tour.
Andersons comments are coming from a frustrated mindset nothing else in my view. This is a bowler who has gone three innings wicketeless which if playing in England is unheard of as well as suffering the embarassment of being the first England player in donkeys years to get a king pair.
640 runs against England so far in the series for Kohli and Anderson choses this moment to pipe up - wrong timing mate. Guess Australias pitches were probably lacking in pace as well? Or perhaps J'burg too where he hit that century? I'm sure the next tour to England will also be far more succesful for him as well because that is the anomaly people use to disregard his achievements. He's had a pretty good year even by his high standards.

Afridi the thing is Indian pitches can be very flat according to many but it's probably one of the very few places where any type of batsman have struggled to score double 100s in the last 5-10 years, and can barely remember the last overseas batsman to achieve this feat. root seems to be the only player who is openly appreciating when India do well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree viru.. all good and well for players and teams to have their thoughts about a players technique but Anderson having a go when he's single handedly won India the series is poor... Anderson is usually well spoken and level headed.
Truth is aus eng NZ are poor in these kind of conditions, was never going to be a competitive series if you go by recent sub-continental results in India UAE and Lanka
Anderson has now reached a point in his career where he will struggle to generate more pace and nullifies his bowling in almost all conditions now. In England he will still be effective but I wonder how he will fare in next years ashes on the Australian pitches.
Jimmy being quite harsh with his Kohli comments. Needs to remember that was his first time in England and he wouldn't have seen a swinging ball like that ever. People have short memories as Joe Root was pretty poor on his first tour to Australia and then hit bk when he went there again. I'm sure Kohli will do well when he comes over the next time.
Personally if I was Kohli I'd try and find 2-3 months free and play County Cricket. Bit low key but if he masters that he will imo be the no1 player jn the world no doubt. ATM its between him/smith and root.
Kohli will struggle when he comes to England again..Because our seamers will bowl a pefect length to him..And stay on the line for along time.
Anyway back to the hammering in this series.. The usual collapse again this morning!..
They are useless mentally..that comes from Cook and Bayliss.. The latter sends out the coach to do his talking most of the time..
Well done India on winning the series.. I hope you win it 4 -0.
I want England to be completely demoralised then hopefully something will be done..
Then no EXCUSES. because there isn't any.. The rot stated last summer.. Failed to beat Pakistan at home. should have lost in Bangladesh.. and now hammered in India.
Surprised they left there hotel
I think India now need to start putting aside atleast 5 pacers they think will win them matches in away conditions. I think in England bhuvi, and shami are a must, and then it will be between umesh and ishant sharma or even both. We don't tour England until 2018 so still a long way off, but we really need to start looking at our pace options.
There is still our 2nd openers slot to fill. Rahul has looked pretty ordinary this series and his fitness is a big concern. Wondering whether there are any news on his injuries yet?
Anil Kumble: "this side can be the greatest EVER test side"
Well that's put a smile on my face after waking up to see an innings defeat! Talk about delusional!!
Win a few home series and now they think they are the next West Indies or Oz from the past
Still won't dare take Pakistan on

England and everyone else seem to have no problem getting to UAE.
If you don't wanna host then pick a neutral venue.
That's about 8-9 or future tour series they have turned down.
Best ever test team
Despite Andersons bitter comments on Kohli, he did make a good point on experience. Many of the players that played in this series lacked experience in these conditions unlike the previous triumphant team, so all is not lost for England.
There have been many calls to drop various players, I disagree with certain comments calling for players like Stoke to be dropped. There are some really talented players in this team and let this experience be used to allow them to improve and take the team forward.

You know full well Pakistan play their series in uae. There are parts of india that are unsafe - in particular for females so lets stop the holy than thou poor wum comment- esp after a very good series win from India who didn't give us a sniff.
Kash - you know full well its politics playing a part. You not had your coffee yet??
3Lions - and agree, England do have some work to do. There is still plenty of cricket still to play, hopefully the ODI's are closely fought.
Serial - b3ll end
Dangerdog - I have no problem with Anderson's comments. Maybe he could have timed it better rather than after such a loss, but if Kohli could replicate the same form in other parts of the world, he could go on to be a legend.
Mind you same could be said for Anderson.

The ICC have supposedly banned politics with cricket. Also awarded the Pak women team full ranking points when the India women refuse to play Pakistan.
Makes a mockery of the test rankings when the two best Asian sides will not play each other.

I don't think its the players who refuse to play.
But agree with the last part. Could you imagine a series right now, being ranked 1-2 it would probably be the most watched series ever.
Woke up expecting England to really push hard and get a lead which would have saved them some pride but instead awoke to the game already finished. Ashwin mesmerising again apparently but England got it horribly wrong this game with their team selection. Won the toss in two games now so the simple heory of simply winning the toss to win in the SC is clearly hogwash.
Also, this loss was by far the most demoralising for England in this series - being in the field for 180 overs+, the heat of Mumbai and then getting tonked by an innings loss. They'll have to play out of their skins to get something in Chennai.
Would love to see an India Pakistan test series but it's really not going to happen - too much political tension there. Can't really fault the players for this one.
