Welcome to India lads. This is the exact demoralising manner in which England beat us in 2011 when we looked absolutely clueless in alien conditions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly... India fans reckon they have done something out of the ordinary here... afraid not. But let's pretend you have beaten some world beaters on these tracks

this could be uttelry embarrasing....these two need to settle in & start playing for some pride
Play with pride? Looks like they wanna go home.
Root vs India this will be.
Cook has really struggled against the angle of Jadejas arm. Been out to him stumped which you rarely see from him and LBW on a number of occasions.
Got to feel for Jonny. Be out there wicket keeping for 180ish overs and then out to bat an hour later.
Root goes after a pretty good counter attacking innings.
Bairstow given out - but it's a no-ball.
He didn't edge it anyway - bat hit pad. Patel is very excited behind the stumps and has played a huge part in India losing all their reviews within 50 overs.
Bairstow given out again - but successfully reviews. Very poor original decision, the ball was a long way from bat and gloves.
After a few poor decisions, Oxenford gets one right. Stokes sweeps onto his foot and caught. England 5 down.
That was a good decision.
England although have played counter attackive cricket, you have to question the shot selection. You can score runs on this pitch without playing reverse sweeps and sweeps.
Would love to see pak play India in these conditions. Think they are the only team that can match India in these conditions
Excellent days play for India. Bairstow and Buttler who will come out tomorrow morning represent Englands only slim chance now.
Very poor from England. This game is all over. I think India will be chasing around 60 odd.
.
England's problem in test cricket is they play bits and pieces bowlers. They were guilty of doing in one days when cook captained. They have taken this to tests as well. It's beyond logic why you would play 4 seamers + 2 spinners. And moeen ali batting at 4 is nothing more than a joke
And as mentioned yesterday that although root has been so consistent, he so often scores 50s but fails to convert.
Anyone seen Anderson's interview??? Based calmly said Any technical deficiency he has is taken out of equation by pitches. Suited to play in these conditions.... thing he's trying to say he's an FTB??
Whatever the rights and wrongs of that statement I don't agree with players having a go at the opposition plyers during an interview and it's mid match
Full quote;
"I am not sure if he (Kohli) has changed. I just think any technical deficiencies he has got are not in play out here. The wickets just take that out of the equation. There is not that pace in the wicket to get the nicks, like we did against him in England – with a bit more movement," said England's highest ever wicket-taker in Test matches.
"When that (pace and movement) is not there, he (Kohli) is very much suited to playing in these conditions. He is a very good player of spin – and if you are not bang on the money and don't take your chances, he will punish you," Anderson did not hide what he felt about Kohli's technique on a day when the skipper scored a career-best 235.
Shots fired!!
Afridi the thing is Indian pitches can be very flat according to many but it's probably one of the very few places where any type of batsman have struggled to score double 100s in the last 5-10 years, and can barely remember the last overseas batsman to achieve this feat. root seems to be the only player who is openly appreciating when India do well
I think Aus pacers will probably be more effective in their tour to India due to their pace. Even Indian pacers were bowling at high speeds consistently compared to England pacers. If aus can get their batting right they can probably cause a few challenges to this Indian line up. Otherwise with the way our tail Enders have batted don't see India losing a match in this season
Starc will definitely cause problems the guy is a cracking bowler when fit. 90plus mph with a super Yorker.
Back to England.
The bowling line up should be Anderson, Stokes and Woakes as the seemers with Rashid and Ali as the spinners.
