Coutinho's Happy Feet (U18971)

I was just being generic - in this case I obviously mean your keeper and your manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's to laugh about, apart from the pair highlighting Gary Neville's shiite management career.

Seriously though if you make a living criticising people you can't really complain when you get it back. Klopp was defending his player. You'd expect any manager to do the same, oh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's ways of putting people down, subtle ways, but Klopp has just took a wild swing there, showed his hand to everyone, I bet he doesn't play poker

Who's crying?

You do seem upset.

Calm down mate, I'm just enjoying a good laugh at your keeper and manager.

The world hasn't ended.

We were discussing something involving Man Utd and Liverpool.
-------
Actually it was closer to Jose and Klopp

I am biased.

Yes you are

You're not.

No I am not.

Let the good times roll.

They are. Have a look at the table

United fan is biased.

Liverpool fan is not.

Love it.

I'm quite good at editing video footage. Shall I make a DVD in time for Christmas, for you?

Arouna

"Well that's funny that he made such comments on a subject he only knew about in that press conference?"

Such as? He spoke about Karius being criticised by the pair. I reckon, and this is a long shot, that the room full of journalists told him what was said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did they tell him or not. I only saw the BBC website clip. Surely he wouldn't have expected people to have an opinion on players etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd imagine so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Never assume. They either did or Klopp is listening/reading or being told what was said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you know Klopp is listening/reading what the Mitchell brothers said?

posted on 13/12/16

Klopp has done the same - so now the pressure is really on the keeper and I fully expect more mistakes from him.
-------
This is just your bias talking.
Karius vs Neville is more pressure on Karius but now its Klopp vs Neville and Karius can go about his duties with no hassle.

It's not rocket sconce saan. I'm sorry but you come across as a bit dim.

It's biased to say I think Karius is now under more pressure than he was last week?

Why is it stupid?

There will be more media focus, more attention on him = more pressure.

You keep telling everyone you're laughing - we all believe you, I promise.

Look everyone Winston says there is more pressure and that is that.

His word is gospel and were it not for the fact that he is so often wrong people would just accept it so lets draw a line under it yeah?.

"There will be more media focus, more attention on him = more pressure".

Perhaps, but equally Karius might be given confidence seeing his manager going in to bat against the criticism leveled at him.

Impossible.

Robbing_Hoody (U6374)

Nope, it's my opinion.

If you disagree, fine.

But is it stupid to suggest that there will be more attention on him in his next game and therefore more pressure?

Or is it perhaps that your friend here is a bit upset?

Hmm.

Coutinho's Happy Feet (U18971)

Perhaps.

But I'm sure he felt that he had that backing anyway, given his place in the team was unexpected by most.

Where did I say this was stupid? There was always going to be more attention on him. Klopp wading in takes away some of that attention from Karius to Klopp himself. The attention was always inevitable saan. How thick are you?

You said it there.

How thick am I?

Maybe answer that one after you've worked out what day of the week it is.

posted on 13/12/16

Oh, and the attention wasn't inevitable - not to the degree that his dig at Neville has brought on him.

Did you hear De Gea making any comments like that when he was struggling?

Nope.

Bad move and he's made it harder for himself.

And given me a laugh in the process.

Given there's been public criticism of his performances and calls for him to be dropped I'm sure his manager publicly backing him won't do his confidence any harm.

Coutinho's Happy Feet (U18971)

Agreed.

I do think, however, it helps keep the spotlight on him as well.

With my PR hat on, I'd say the better move would have been for Liverpool to create a news story about something else - maybe a big transfer or something like that.
