When I asked you why Australia isn't mentioned in any of the books you responded with 'Why would Australia be in a story about a couple from Africa'You only mentioned Africa after I explained how you and I descend from there...
Then you insinuated that 'great beasts' meant dinosaurs....when I said 'I wont even mention dinosaurs....

You cherry pick the bits you want and then make out I am talking nonsense just to deflect from anyone delving too deep into your beliefs....

If they kept it to themselves it would be nice yes (as in didn't impact on everyone...(I don't mean being preachy as some of us are accused of the same....maybe rightly so such is the nature of debate)

I actually think someone like Richard Dawkins, as much as I agree with him, can go a little overboard from his side of the fence. I mean he seems really determined, maybe too determined to put his point across.

He is certainly on a missionTbf all these Super Atheists should make their books free for all if they really ARE trying to educate rather than capitalise....but that's another debate I suppose

I don't mind him having his mission to re-educate particularly when it comes to scientific education in schools in the States. But it appears he he's rather determined to convert as many people as he can when I sometimes feel "Well if it makes them happy.."

I think its frustration on his part, ive watched him go into a long explanation about the development of the eye, and all the guy got back was 'im not sure about that'

Wouldn't surprise me. I've seen a few of his interviews with Christians on YT with whom he's trying to explain evolution to. These people still wouldn't budge on the theory if it was a monkey giving them the explanation.

Well anyone who reads back can draw their own conclusions.....I am perfectly happy for them to do that as I suspect you are too........this is probably why this is a pointless debate....anyway

It comes down to this for me..............

Religion already has its answers.
Un-changed for the most part in 1400 years? 2000 years? 6000 years ? depends which book/religion you go to for those answers.
No new journals...updates....


Science wants to find answers
Constantly revised/updated/de-bunked/tested


It's that simple for me.

Science is encouraged in my religion and there have been many scientists.

Religion and science need not be polar opposites, never have been really.

The different texts are updates but let's take your view for a second, religion has never said it has ALL the answers for everything. In fact there is a famous hadith where we are told to ask people of knowledge
