Were you optimistic we'd finish second this season?
Not many were.....The two Manchester clubs were meant to be fighting it out for the title.
Maybe we can identify similarities between Janssen and Soldado more after his 2nd season with us..
1. Soldado had more seasons and starts than Janssen this was his first with us
2. Soldado missed several sitters, Janssen has missed none of significance
3. Soldado was brought as our main forward for 10 mill more
4. We are a miles better team now, than when Soldado was at the club
5. Janssen has impressed in the majority of his substitute appearances (where pretty much all of his game time has come)
"Soldado missed several sitters, Janssen has missed none of significance "
Palace at home was a massive sitter missed
meh, we still won
you surely cannot disagree with my argument
Anything butting winning the title next season is surely a step backwards?

Only just.
I agree.. big Janssen fan but he does need to improve hugely next season
If Spurs adapt to their new surroundings well then they can certainly challenge. Otherwise it may just be a top four battle for them.
You'll walk top 4. That's for sure. But 1st will be a challenge

Not for sure.
The expenditure this summer will be vast from all the top 6 clubs.
Tottenham also had a very good year with injuries.
I personally think the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea will fight it out for the title.
Jose and Pep are going to keep breaking the bank.
Dembele has a foot injury. His role was limited torwards the end because of this.
You have to remember that nobody lets the truth get in the way of a good argument on here. The handful of Chelsea clowns would have you believe that we all think we will win the CL next season.
City and united could by loads of players, but there's no guarantee that they will gel straight away and win the title

1. Agreed
2. Janssen is never near the goal to miss sitters
3. Agreed
4. All the more reason why Janssen should score more
5. Clutching at straws. Fair few of those games he chased the ball and fouled his opponent

What nonsense as usual
UTD spent 200 million and went backwards
Liverpool have spent hundreds of millions and tread water
We have a settled team who know how they want to play and will be right up there again next season

Absolute rubbish mate
The two Manchester clubs spend obscene amounts of money every transfer window. Have they improved?
We spent about £30m on Alderweireld, Wanyama and Alli. All three of them would walk into both Manchester clubs.
Tottenham also had a very good year with injuries.
