the biggest wum is the media and pundits/experts - watch the verdict
england deserve criticism where its due however englamd are not expected to win every game.
saffas deserve credit for their win.
what england did this test match saffas did in the last test match. its all about seizing the opportunities when they come.
im suprised at the batting depth but england generally do have a long batting line up as many of their bowlers can bat and put in a few cameos of 20s + 30s.
Listening on the radio woakes won't be fit until the west indies and ball will come in for wood due to fitness issues. Ballance might have a broken finger so makes it easy for the selectors if he is injured.
Pathetic today....where is the team that kicked butt at Lords
Some serious changes are needed pre the Ashes tour...or we are going to get utterly embarrassed
Talksport's cricket guy John Norman was talking about Trevor Bayliss earlier...he never watches county cricket apparently...this may be the issue
Also the Windies are currently pretty atrocious by all accounts at test level...
we'll see....it's no good us battering them and thinking everything is tickety boo
thats generally what its gonna be like tickety boo tho i think england will beat saffas 3-1.
england will be motivated and umped up after this defeat.
Grand,
Whilst I admire your positivity, the reality is England have won 2 test matches in the last 10 tests played. They have a tendency to collapse and when the going gets tough they don't really have anyone to grind it out... it's a worry for any team. There are problems up top and I don't think the bowling is as it was a few years ago

optimistic....or what
The toss is really going to play a big part in the remaining games. Its astonishing how teams batting first seem to always win matches in these conditions.

We had this conversation some time ago on here...
I mooted the idea of a completely new format for tests whereby the overs are shared in blocks with a small changeover...say ten minutes
needs thinking through...but let's be honest test cricket is awful these days...red ball is on the steep decline
Now that's what you call a proper thrashing. Embarrassing that
Yup Fasheezy bro but beware here u may be called hater or whatever by famous tr0ll on JA606! lol..
Poor fact faker has been in hiding since that champions trophy final.. which was a 100 times more of a thrashing and embarrassing- he's now back throwing confetti on an England defeat.... Indian fans at their best
Lala a.k.a fake professor,
I enjoy test cricket at it's finest.. Now when India defeated Pak initially, I was never gloating nor when we reached final. I was busy in my life and don't care for petty stuff. We won Champions Trophy last time and reached final this time! Nothing to be ashamed or hide Lala Uncle..

If Balllance is at 5 where does Bairstow bat??
Presume 6 or 7 with Ali 8. If they don't like it tough. Bairtow, stokes, Ali hardly consistent.
My 11 would be
Cook
Jennings (or hameed)
Bairstow
Root
new number 5
Moeen
Stokes
Buttler (keeper)
Woakes (when fit) otherwise Wood
Broad
Anderson
Bairstow as got better as a keeper but we need to get Buttler into the 11.
Stokes is the new world class cricketer..You just got to see him kick the turf when he gets out for zero prodding forward to a left arm spinner.. That a world class reaction.. Kick the turf and look skywards.
As Nasser Hussain and co said last night, England need to stop picking players by simply looking at county averages.
willis is the only one to call as it as, stokes is seen as some great all rounder but his numbers suggest a below average batsmen at best and a also the same bowling wise same in the odi format as well
Ballance is out of the 3rd test.. geeeez England will miss his runs..
I hope they don't shift Root up to 3 again. His record at 4 is much better..
No matter what Liver I think englund will loose the series.... I hope my views don't hurt ur feelings or any englund fans here!
