I’m just watching a Jos Buttler masterclass in the IPL, as it happens.

I'm really out of the loop regarding who is good or not.

I remember the WC we won I was actually on the beach listening to five-live. Hearing the commentators try and explain what happened was hilarious.

Buttler kept the strike for three overs to get his tonne and win with the highest run chase in IPL history of 224.

I love this man.

Bit worried about England this summer, though. We’re not looking nearly as strong as we used to. But the grounds in the Windies are really small so we’ll always have a chance with our boundary hitting, but the batters aren’t looking as strong as they were a few years ago.

Got 46 runs off those three overs as well. It was an amazing innings.

The scores sound better than they are when you’re used to T20 internationals, though. You see loads of scores of 200+. Yesterday was the highest scoring game ever as SRH scored 287 and RCB got 262.

Interesting, is that done on purpose to artificially entice viewers?

Yeah I think they’ve made it more batting friendly. But they’re also limited with their selections due to how much they can spend and how many foreigners they can have. The standard is generally just not as high as international cricket for these reasons, the bowling and fielding especially.
