Just saw João Félix had predicted in an interview that Barça, Arsenal, City and Atleti would all qualify for the semis.

Same with Micah Richards

A lot of these are just personal bias getting in the way

@Tu Meke, I'm not the best person to ask, as I've never been Kroos' biggest fan. On form he's a great footballer, but he also goes through lengthy 'meh' periods.

Modric's twice the footballer Kroos is, and that's being very generous to the latter.

Cheers. He's always very calm and plays some terrific passes in midfield, seems to a real leader too.

I think more than twice the midfielder is a little harsh but I agree modric is better.

if kroos was more mobile & quicker he'd be an almost perfect midfielder

he reminds me alot of Bernd Schuster...not just because he's a blond German, but also his playing style...the passing range, intelligence and also the lack of pace

Schuster was better, imo. Never got as much recognition as he deserved because he refused to play for Die Mannschaft

yes I agree
Schuster was one of my favourite players of that era

Is he the only player to have a significant number of games for all of Spain's big 3? Might be.

posted on 18/4/24

he was the first player i think to play for the big 3

posted on 18/4/24

Can't remember anyone else off the top of my head who has. There probably will be, but Schuster won silverware as an important player on all three teams too.

Barça could've had such an amazing season if only they'd replaced the 'v' with a 'b'.

It’s funny seeing Xavi complain about it after all the shiiiiiiit Barca got away with when he was a player.

Good article, elaborates on what we discussed last night. RR posted some articles about positionism vs relationism a while back that were interesting.

It’s a shame ETH hasn’t been able to make it work at United as he seems to have a decent idea of football that sit between these two ideals.

good article that
i posted numerous videos about the high priest of relationism, Fernando Diniz, when Flu won the Copa Libertadores. Shame it didn't work out for him with Brazil

OFFICIAL: Julian Nagelsmann has signed new deal as German national team head coach until World Cup 2026.

“This is a decision of the heart. It is a great honour to be able to coach the national team. We can ispire the country”.

Bayern must be gutted.

posted on 19/4/24

Weren’t they trying to get him back?

posted on 19/4/24

Yeah exactly, I’m surprised because I assumed Klopp’s next job would be their national team. So Bayern are now back in the market for a manager. I wonder if they’ll give Flick another go.

Should United take a punt on Flick, Dazza?
