Only saw the last half hour. Marseille didn’t threaten much. How about the first hour?
OM were awesome until the first goal, then Payer going killed the players spirits.
Germain missed a big chance at 0-0
Ok cheers. By the sounds of it Atleti just killled the game after scoring. They are such pests. It’s not good to watch but credit where it’s due they are by far the best around at this style of football.
I really want to see how things pan out for both Simeone and Atleti once they part ways.
Marseille were on top to start, but I don't think they were beating Atleti today, not even if they'd taken an early lead. Atleti's experience at this level really showed.
Ranieri sacked again, poor guy can't catch a break. Started the season so well with Nantes too.
MUFC's Ed Woodward: Does the impact of a successful season have an impact in terms of the commercial side of the business? If I can answer very simply & candidly. Playing performance doesn't really have a meaningful impact on what we can do on the commercial side of the business"
Ed basically saying he doesn't care about the shiiit football we play since it still makes the club money.
Atleti, 6 full seasons prior to Simeone's arrival:
Avg points: 58
Avg GD: +10.3
Atlético, 6 full seasons since Simeone's arrival:
Avg points: 81.3 (81.8 if they win their last game)
Avg GD: +41.2

I’ve been saying this for years. For some strange reason the fans seem to think the club cares about style and that it has a massive impact commercial side of the business.
Jose: “No. It’s a person coming who worked with me before but I can’t say the name because he’s still linked to another club. Michael Carrick becomes a coach on the pitch but I’m looking for two new people on the team. Good coaches there are many, but I like to make my assistants. I do not like trained coaches, I like to shape them in my way of thinking and they grow with me and I also grow with them.”
Who do you reckon Daz? Cashley? Terry? Drogba?
Btw, that last line man it's typical Mourinho.

I think the quality of his football is underrated ya know
The art of defending is underrated
Probably boyhood United fan John Terry, Arab.
I highly it’s JT m8, he’ll carry on playing until he is 40
I reckon everyone rates defending
We were told that Pep doesn’t rate the art of defending, even though he spent huge sums in shoring up City’s defence.
Klopp ignored the defence until he was told to spend big on defence too
Btw. Where the fook is Forza ? Not seen him post in ages !!!
Topped himself after Napoli bottled Serie A. Forza
He’s not closed his account has he ?

I'm not sure he'd be able to set up any other way, but even if he could, to try to take on Barça and Madrid at their own game but on less than half their budgets has no chance of succeeding on a consistent basis.
Off the top of my head I can't think of any current manager who's achieved more with less.
Mourinho is the only one who might compare, although their respective cases are very different.
Diego Simeone is the only non-Iberian manager to win the Europa League since it was re-branded 9 years ago:
Quique SF
AVB
Simeone
Benny
Emery
Emery
Emery
Mou
Simeone
Problem with Simeone is that he’s not really been able to adapt the team’s style of play for when they are playing teams they are quite clearly superior to. It’s all very workmanlike despite the talent they have in the squad.
Like Mourinho I think this style would grate on the players at the biggest clubs outside Italy after a while.
Wow, Sissoko isn’t going to the World Cup
Martial has been dropped as well along with Lacazette.
