He was interviewed on the radio yesterday, came across as a really top bloke.

As club captain, he always tried to make sure the team had a proper family/community feel to it. I think it was Oyarzábal or Odriozola who said he even took it upon himself to chauffeur the academy lads around when they were brought into the first team and hadn't yet got their drivers' licenses.

He's a regular too at La Concha beach in San Sebastian, which is the classic local venue where many kids first get into football.

He said he wants to continue to be involved in footy, so wouldn't be surprised if he takes up some kind of role at their academy.


Hope he isn't a paedo.
