Ajax would like to extend Justin Kluivert’s contract, but these are ‘his’ demands, as revealed by De Telegraaf:

€1.500.000 gross wages per year
20% of a possible transfer fee to the player
20% of a possible transfer fee to his agent, Mino Raiola

When will UEFA actually grow a pair and rid us of caaants like Raiola?

Yet to see the kid play, isn't he getting massively overhyped?

posted on 8/5/18

No idea, but leeches like Raiola are standing in the way of these kids developing.

Ive seen him getting really mixed reviews; some think he will be the next Neymar and some think he is too lightweight for any league.

I dunno, Edin. I mean, he's still a kid and all, but does anyone know he's something more than just another one amongst dozens of promising youngsters who break through, only in this case holding a famous surname?

His stats are good, but I'm sure there must be plenty of youngsters in Europe's 'tier 2' or 'tier 3' leagues who are on a fair numbers of goals and assists, not to mention in South America.

In fairness, I missed the bit about Raiola being his agent. That alone would explain a lot of the hype.

Arab, you might see people like him as leeches, but a fair number of his players' reputations have skyrocketed.

In this particular case, you'd have thought JK's own dad would be savvy enough about the football world to represent his own son. The fact the kid's been entrusted to Raiola is surely an indication that even inside the world of football, the guy has a reputation for getting the best deals and best moves for his players.

Jose Mourinho has pleaded guilty to two counts of fiscal fraud during his time in Spain with Real Madrid. He has agreed to pay €800k. to avoid imprisonment.

Buffon kept his 400th clean sheet yesterday against Milan. That’s ridiculous.

City are a well run club because of how Gulf royalty generally go about their business. They're far too busy living kings' lives to bother about the minor details.

They want something done, they say get the best and get it done, without much of a second thought or worry.

My brother was in the direct service of one of these dudes for a while, he has some great stories about their whims.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Care to share some of these stories?

I knew a few guys at uni who were like this. From Kuwait I think. Anything they needed they had some agent guy on speed dial to sort it out. Obviously not the same situation, but the mentality is there.

My bruv's funnier at telling them than me, but one case was when this prince boasted to someone that the fish from back home was better than what they'd been served that night on the French Riviera.

This led to several dudes in the Gulf being woken up in the small hours, rushing to the port, taking a high-power speedboat to deep waters a couple of hours offshore and spear-fishing over 200lbs of fish.

The fish was then rushed ashore, put on ice, and taken to an airport where a private jet was waiting to fly it over to France, , where a chef was on hand to select the prime parts of the fish to prepare a banquet with which to prove that Gulf fish was indeed better.

No idea how much that dinner for two cost all in all. Tens if not hundreds of thousands, I imagine.

Arsenal - 76
Liverpool - 74
Spurs - 73
United - 59
Chelsea - 57

Just seen this posted on another thread, this shows how crap our football really is. We seem to have been more clinical this season.

What about clear cut chances against, Arab?

Would be interested to see a comparison to last season. For half the season we were creating quite a lot but not converting. We’ve been more clinical from what I’ve seen but I’m not sure if the stats reflect that - especially when you consider the lack of chances we were making at the end of last season.

There was this one Cuban guy whose sole task was to go from royal residence to royal residence just to make sure all the cigars were in prime condition and remove and replace any that weren't.
