Daz, looking on Squawka and last season we created 447 chances. No idea how many were clear cut. This season we have created 336. Quite a huge difference.

Ok I looked on the PL site. Last season we created 62 clear cut chances, so we have declined in our attacking play I guess?

Chances are overrated

Just makes me laugh that the Mourinho worshippers are hailing him in getting us playing better football than Van Gaal when there really hasn’t been a great deal of difference. It’s still mind numbingly boring.

Would appear the stats support my thoughts. People underestimate what Zlatan brought to the side last season. We created more chances with him in the side as he’s an excellent striker that brings others into play and occupies defenders. Him getting into great positions regularly was also a reason for our chance creation being higher. He kept missing and the narrative was that he was shiiiiiit but our fans are facking idiots. That said there’s also the fact we were often chasing goals more often as we couldnmt put teams away last season. This season we have done so sit on leads where we couldn’t before.

It is better than under Van Gaal. But there’s a lot of games where it’s just as shiiiiit. It’s funny listening to some people rewrite history under him. You donmt need to lie about Van Gaal to criticise Mourinho, there’s plenty enough already for fans to do this.

A study by Radboud University in 2010 found that despite the opponent's brain knowing Arjen Robben is making a feint, the body will inevitably fall for it. The part of the brain that makes the body move along w/ him is a tad faster than the conscious knowledge about his movement

he really is magic

I used to be able to do almost the exact same body feint that robben does, and get the ball on my right foot

sadly an aging body has robbed me of this skill

Is it the feint, or is it more Robben waiting for the opponent to stand flat footed

I too had an ability to get the opponent to stand flat footed ...then deliver that body feint, and boooom I was past the cannnt

I used to do a similar feint but I always ended up getting my right ball on my foot.

what a name for a footy club

Real tough luck for Les Herbiers.

There was just 1 relegation slot to be decided between 6 teams and they could even have lost and stilll stayed up if other results went their way.

The other 3rd division semifinalists, Chambly, managed to avoid the drop by a single point.

2 weeks until the final

Marseille royally f*cked up their Ligue 1 option of making the CL. They'll probably be that little bit more eager/desperate to win the EL now.

When's the final?

The final’s Wednesday.

Thought it might be. Atleti playing at 5:30pm today.

Hopefully it’s a good game. However unlikely with Atleti being involved.

So there’s a genuine consensus among spurs fans that despite Kane possibly being a little bit sensitive to the media comments and stuff (which is a bit weird) that there is a belief that this is classic English press and media. Leading up to a World Cup they prefer to crucify our star player rather than support him.

The belief is that no other country is like this; Italy never through Buffon under a bus - Spain never did or would with Villa/Xavi/Iniesta etc. So ioag, what’s the media like in Spain? Equally muggy towards the best player?

posted on 12/5/18

Yeah weird opinion that only England crucify their players. Brazil, Argentina, France and Italy are notorious for this.

Rory Smith says Arsene Wenger is known as a bit of a player. Has young women on the go constantly. Wenger has 50 kids possibly more

Man I miss RGK

The Arsenal board is dead without him.
