So, Lopetegui sacked with no replacement. WTF?!

As for Madrid, it's a rather uninspiring appointment. The only way of strengthening his position would have been for Spain to win the World Cup, but that can't happen now.

As things stand, Lopetegui seems to be a very expendable manager.

Might, however, be worthwhile if as I suspect the idea is to use him as a scapegoat for a clearout of some of our ageing starters though.

But what a facking mess this is. Unbelievable.

Because the FA was kept in the dark and only found out through the press.

Extreme decision I probably wouldn't have taken, but I can see why they made it.
