What is napolis wage structure like? From what I read he was asking for €3M, which isn't much for a premier league player nowadays.

I had to speak to an agent a couple of seasons ago on behalf of a mid-table Liga side about a player they were interested who was ending his contract for a BL side. The Spanish club made an offer, but he politely told us there was no point insisting as a more or less equivalent PL club had already offered him double what the Spaniards could pay, and he was only going to be a squad player for them.

PL is just too far ahead of the rest in the money league.

Crazy money in the epl, even the likes of Stoke who got relegated, generated in excess of £100m in TV deals last season. Not even Atletico Madrid made that much for winning the Europa league ffs

I think they also have a significant advantage in the fact that English is the modern day lingua franca. Notwithstanding that, they really have just marketed the game so much better than any of the other leagues.

Ancelotti really wanted to coach us and took a 50% pay cut from what he was paid in Munich.

I’d say in the last 5 years when the epl TV deal hit the double figures.

Thing is, the domestic deal is the biggest money maker for the premier league so it’s not just a case of effective marketing abroad.

True. Not too familiar with France or Germany, but when I've been back to the UK in recent years, the consumerism just smacks you in the face. Don't think I could stomach living in a city like London nowadays.

He’s a talented player with flair so of course he’s going to be a crowd favourite. I liked him at first but his body language and attitude has put me off him.

It’s funny because a far better player in Di Maria acted exactly the same. And I defended him to a point. But he’s considered Satan among our fans and Martial is God.

Yeh would take Rashford every day of the week. Martial isn’t a better player than what we have currently starting and he requires a lot of training to get him to a decent level.

I mean, he probably currently isn’t a better player than Moura.
