I'm going to have to purchase La Liga TV until the end of the season.

To be fair, it’s not even comparable with Arteta now.

At least we do attack and score goals, even if we aren’t the most stylish.

I was saying to a friend that is an Arsenal fan that even I hate Arteta now, at least it was worth watching Arsenal when they played good football.

Now you are just painful to watch and lose all the time. There’s not much fun in that for a me.

Tried to be a clever caaant today. Hope he facks off soon, clearly thinks he's the next big thing in management.

Yeah, which is fair enough tbh.

I just can't believe he so often makes life difficult for himself with his passive management and bizarre tactics. It's just so unnecessary. I don't know whether it's because he sees himself as an innovator in the mould of Pep, but he needs a reality check.

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw a managerial performance as bad as that.

He's SO fortunate we're still in with a shout of going through. We don't deserve shiiiit.

He sounds a bit like Van Gaal. Seems appropriate that he got his assistant in.

Mourinho’s joining Talksport.

La Liga title race is grate. Three points between the top four. I really want it to go to a four way head to head.

Think we'd win that even if we lost to Sevilla

Yup.

So far, P5 W4 D1 L0

All the others have lost at least twice in their 5.

Your record against these teams is ridiculous.

Four wins and a draw out of five.

It’d just be crazy to see the league decided by that. Seems extremely unlikely, of course. Madrid’s fixtures look tough compared to the others. And the squad is knackered.

We've still got lots of work to do addressing the squad and the weaknesses in our play.

It really doesn't need saying again but watching the sides in the Champions League this week and watching us, there's a huge gap between us and many of the elite clubs when it comes to control, keeping and moving the ball under pressure, especially through the centre of midfield.

This squad needs an injection of technical ability, creativity and composure. Until we get it our ceiling is limited. I think it always will be even if we do get the players we really need because of current management but having a good summer window might give us a chance at least to break through that ceiling.

I think the promising thing for us is that our attack really can be devastating when it clicks. And that’s despite those problems.

posted on 29/4/21

Yeah it's grate when we get going. Adding somebody like Sancho almost seems unfair.

We just need a summer of competent squad building, just one would do for now.

Saka looks like he’ll be another one to add to England’s vast array of penalty winners for the Euros. The refs are gonna facking hate reffing our games.

Yeah, that was vardy esque. so proud of him.

Nah wasn’t even Vardy. That was full Mo Salah. Cheating little cuuuunt.

Nah, vardy did that to us a couple of times a few years ago. Not seen Salah do that specifically tbh, although I've not seen all his penalties.

I didn’t think I would see a bigger cheating priiiick than Suarez until Salah came along. God I hate that man.

Imagine having to ref Kane, Sterling, Grealish, Rashford, Sancho and now Saka. I don’t think anyone has won as many pens as these lot from one nation in football.

Which says something when Italy exist.

villarreal ended up making a right mess of a leg they had complete control of...and really they should have killed the tie off last night

United fans what’s opinions on Rashford? I’ve been watching him last few games (although did miss second half last night) and he seems to not be making great decisions a lot of the time. Not sure he’s kicked on, would that be fair to say or is it just a consequence of being quite impressive at an early stage his improvement has hit its peak/playing injured taking its toll.

posted on 30/4/21

He’s class. He’s not been as good this season, though, as he’s recovering from a back injury and playing with a shoulder injury.

posted on 30/4/21

Like a lot of our players and the team as a whole, Rashford's performances haven't been that good in general this season but he should be commended as he's still been hugely productive. He's a much more important player to us than a lot of people realise on and outside of this forum.

As Darren has mentioned, he's still not completely injury free. There was actually an article today on ESPN saying that he hasn't played a game pain free in two years and that's why I feel for him because he hasn't had a chance to rest appropriately when he's needed it and it's surely taken its toll on him. Hopefully it doesn't cause him any damage in the long term.

He's played an insane amount of football already in his career. People talk about Owen having played lots of football at a young age but in their first six seasons from when they both made their debuts, Rashford has made 60 more appearances for club than Owen did which is ridiculous.

The management and those in charge of recruitment have a lot to answer for here because we've not signed a suitable attacker to take the pressure off him and I think Ole's use of him has been careless. From his interviews there seems to be one rule for other players and another for Rashford when it comes to rest.

His decision making could be better and it's maybe above anything else what's stopping him from being a top tier elite attacker but he's only 23, some years off what should hopefully be his peak so there's plenty of time for him to improve.

I’ve been reliably informed that helping to feed starving children has been his biggest problem this season, it’s been distracting him.

My second favourite moment of the footballing month came last night when, after his diving howler, Saka in full cliche mode said in the post match interview:

‘When we play properly we can beat anyone and we showed that today’

My favourite moment is Joe Hart, on BT as a pundit for City, came on to say ‘City haven’t really had a game where they’ve had to compete recently’ when literally three days before they played Tottenham

The person driving that opinion is one of the biggest 🔔ends on the United board.

Yeah he’s a priiiiick. But he’s not alone in holding that opinion.

Edin

I think my favourite was Lamela after the cup final.

Very disappointing day for all of us...

Anyway... Coys...

I can't say I've noticed many other people saying it, not sure if that's because it's on the match thread.
