@TheSpursExpress
We understand that during a meeting between #Spurs and Erik ten Hag the club were put off by the Ajax boss’ lack of fluent English among other issues.

I’ve seen a few on here and various media platforms.
He probably told Levy no, and he’s trying to save face now.
Joe Hart saying "have a good day" while explaining his social media gaffe >>>>>
Yeah that one was grate.
Feel sorry for Spurs fans. It was all looking so promising for the club a few years ago. But Levy’s cooock ups - who has built the club up to what it is, in fairness - and the pandemic have left the club a bit lost now.
Feel sorry for Spurs fans.
====
I don't
Their fack ups are the only enjoyment I get these days.
No doubt.
Don’t get me wrong, it is funny. But I do feel bad for them.
Even as an Arsenal fan you must respect how they’ve gone about building the club up to almost achieving grateness
There was a period in 2016-17 where I thought they might win the league. They got something like 86 points. Chelsea obviously won it reasonably comfortably in the end, but there was a clear accelerated improvement compared to when Poch initially took over. Also helps when you end up finding one of the best strikers in Europe in your youth academy.
However, a series of poor recruitment decisions, breakdown in communication between Levy and Poch, inefficient use of funds and a lack of focus from the top regarding the football side of things (it's well established Lewis and Levy took their eye off the ball when focusing on the new stadium) is all it takes for everything to come crumbling down.
I still think they have potential to do well, they certainly have the infrastructure to, but not if they continue with poor managerial hires like Mourinho, and purchases like Sissoko, Doherty and Aurier.
I'd have more faith in Spurs competing at the top again than I would Arsenal.

Like a lot of our players and the team as a whole, Rashford's performances haven't been that good in general this season but he should be commended as he's still been hugely productive. He's a much more important player to us than a lot of people realise on and outside of this forum.
As Darren has mentioned, he's still not completely injury free. There was actually an article today on ESPN saying that he hasn't played a game pain free in two years and that's why I feel for him because he hasn't had a chance to rest appropriately when he's needed it and it's surely taken its toll on him. Hopefully it doesn't cause him any damage in the long term.
He's played an insane amount of football already in his career. People talk about Owen having played lots of football at a young age but in their first six seasons from when they both made their debuts, Rashford has made 60 more appearances for club than Owen did which is ridiculous.
The management and those in charge of recruitment have a lot to answer for here because we've not signed a suitable attacker to take the pressure off him and I think Ole's use of him has been careless. From his interviews there seems to be one rule for other players and another for Rashford when it comes to rest.
His decision making could be better and it's maybe above anything else what's stopping him from being a top tier elite attacker but he's only 23, some years off what should hopefully be his peak so there's plenty of time for him to improve.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers for this and you too daz mad that he’s played more games than Owen at this stage. Although Owen had proobably already had his first bad hamstring problem by now? I did see the article about not playing pain free etc so was in my thinking.
Hopefully he’ll get some needed rest in the league prior to euros but I don’t see it, ole will want 2nd place firmed up before that happens.
But I think that’s the frustrating thing if you are a Spurs fan. It’s been so near yet so far, and a lot of it is because of Levy. I think it’s similar to how Wenger was the reason you were so close to achieving big things, but also the reason you didn’t.
And he’s probably now created a rod for his own back. Regardless of how highly we rate them, Pochettino and Mourinho are two of the most highly regarded managers in the game. And it came crashing down with both.
And when you see their struggles to get in one of the main targets as manager, I can’t help but think they’ve been put off by what’s happened with those two managers.
Andy
I think Rashford may be better used as an impact player at the Euros. I just don’t think he’s physically up to playing in a tournament.
Though the problem is that we lose that pace and running off the front if he doesn’t. And he’s one of the best goal scorers in the entire squad. So you could understand why Southgate may want him in there, even if his form and fitness may not warrant it.
Given sterling hasn’t played too much recently/been off form as well you’d imagine rashford being in. The extra squad member helps, especially with Sancho back from injury. Hoping he can make an impact.
Despite his form, I don’t think anyone is threatening Sterling’s spot in the starting eleven.
There is a bit of concern for a few players ahead of the Euros. There’s obviously Rashford and Sterling. But we don’t know how Grealish, Rice and Sancho will recover after injury.
It’s good that Mount and Foden are playing well. But I don’t think they are as good, or as important, as a lot of the players I’ve mentioned there.
Would be typical of England to enter a tournament with question marks around the fitness and form of some of their best players.
Forgot Henderson as well.

Yeah he’s a priiiiick. But he’s not alone in holding that opinion.
Edin
I think my favourite was Lamela after the cup final.
Very disappointing day for all of us...
Anyway... Coys...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good thing about Sancho is he can compensate as very effective Rashford cover without there being much of a drop off stylistically. Then we can get Grealish (if fit) playing against the weaker sides
Yeah I think on paper Sancho is the best fit for the left. He gives you a bit of both of what Grealish and Rashford can offer.
I’d assume with Sancho you’d just get Sterling to take the left side
There's been a huge rise in deluded/arrogant/entitled spurs fans over the last decade or so, something I can't quite understand. Fack those ones.
Spurs somehow end up being the butt of every joke man, it's incredible, and I'm saying that as a fan of the meme that is arsenal.
Despite the rivalry, I do feel bad for the decent fans like sandy, morespurs and Billy though.
Just seen on Twitter Ragnick been offered spurs job. That’d be one I could get behind, not that I care too much either way.
Bild claiming he's been offered it.
It could be game changing for Spurs but I don't see it happening.
It's been repeatedly said Rangnick wants full control at a club and I think if you're going to the trouble of appointing him, you give him full control from the ground up to the most senior sporting position, something I can never imagine Levy doing.
Despite the rivalry, I do feel bad for the decent fans like sandy, morespurs and Billy though.

Edin, I think Sterling is better on the right. And Sancho is probably better on the left.
Yeah I've always preferred Sterling on the right.

It’d just be crazy to see the league decided by that. Seems extremely unlikely, of course. Madrid’s fixtures look tough compared to the others. And the squad is knackered.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, I'm not holding my breath. There was a lot of euphoria after the Barcelona and Liverpool games, but those exploits were celebrated almost as titles when there was a lot of work still to do. I think the remains of the squad might have felt that way too and lost a bit of focus.
It now looks like we're starting to get back to an almost full strength squad...just in time for the summer.
Fortunately, Granada threw us an unexpected lifeline the other night. If we're capable of regrouping and rallying to win the last 5, I think we'll be champions.
It would be grate if all that happened and the league ended in a 3-way tie, as it would mean we'd win the title thanks to Barcelona beating Atleti.

I prefer Sterling on the right too but always thought Sancho was way better on the right whereas there isn’t as much of a drop off with Sterling
If Zidane wins the CL and La Liga it’ll be his finest achievement at Madrid, in my opinion. With the attacking options, and the injuries, they shouldn’t really be in contention, to be honest.
Edin, from what I’ve seen Sancho is actually better on the left. He’s statistically more productive as well. Sterling isn’t anywhere near as good on the left as he is on the right, in my opinion.
One of the biggest mistakes Pep has made is moving Sterling to the left to accommodate Mahrez. Their attack is not nearly as good now. And it led to them losing Sane as well.
