"I also remember... wins against Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City in the Prem and several wins against Spurs."
We all remember those days, but the manager is now persona non grata.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not in my house and not in my posts. I will post about anyone and everyone associated with out great club as I see fit, even if it upsets a few luvvies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well said. I love all the successful periods too, and that includes the club personnel at the time. There are only 2 or 3 (if you count Perton) who are upset by any reference to our last successful manager, and that is probably because our fortunes plummeted once the "wisdom" of their views had been translated into one of the most nonsensical sackings in the club's history.
That's now water under the bridge, and having gone through a host of managers, none of who would hold a candle to the man we can't mention, we now are eventually back in a similarly exciting period, (even though its still September, before WITLESS goes off on one).
Cardiff all over Leeds, currently 2-0 after 25 mins
Villa making a late run for the title, late as in only 36 games to go
and Leeds down to 10 at HT
rather Cardiff 3 points than Leeds, draw better of course
Better go see how my Acca is getting on......
Cardiff 32%-68% Leeds
What's the score?
Time to check the Leeds board
Villa have finally clicked under Bruce and Ipswich are flying again under Mick.
It would seem that pre Cambrian era football is making a comeback.
Battle of the 'not good enough for wolves' midfielders at the den and they have a goal a piece.
Just read through the Cardiff Leeds commentary on BBC.

Ex wolves doing well all over the place tonight

Mendez-Laing doing well

That explains it, Dave having more of the ball is never going to win you anything.
So the main contenders don't have a good night, boro and Leeds lose but unfortunately Fulham win.
Wouldn't completely write off Villa. Lose tomorrow (which is highly likely) and they are just four points behind us.
They have far more strike power than us and appear to have finally understood and carried out Bruce's game plan.
Hearing that Reading fans what to know if Wolves can do a cash back deal for Dave
Get fecked
Our feeder clubs faced off in the champions league tonight and Porto won 3-0 in Monaco.
Another really good goal by Nazon tonight, curling one in from 25 yards. Sounds like he is really impressing at Cov
