Since Warnock took over Cardiff the two genius managers have managed in 89 games, 38 wins, 23 draws and 28 defeats averaging 1.54 pts a game which would average around 71 points a season.

Mick is doing exceptionally well at Ipswich considering their lack of investment for many years. Sunderland meanwhile in a real mess and could do with mick going back there to sort them out.

Another guy doing ok is Cristiano Ronaldo. Played 400 games for Real now and in that time has scored 411 goals and got 112 assists. Decent

I saw a fact the other day that stated that Ronaldo has scored more Champions League goals than Manchester Utd. He really is some player.

As for Mick - who cares how he is doing. He was a good manager for us and did exceptionally well at the time. But, it was time for him to go and despite what Bute says, I actually think Morgan was more patient than he should have been with him and gave him more time than he should have done.

I would remember Mick with far more affection and respect if Bute didn't keep dragging his name up every time Ipswich win, don't lose, are above us or just below us. It absolutely grates on me and the self righteous, pious way he does it grates on me even more. Just give it a rest.

I find the people who refuse to ever give him any credit equally annoying.

I can ignore Bute's comments as I just put them down as wumming. I struggle with the extreme comments the other way as they come from posters who seem like they are being deadly serious.

That's what happens on here though, isn't it?

I thought a pre-requisite to signing up here was an inability to use reason or look at things logically. A few managed to slip through the net though, but those guys don't post enough.

To be fair I don't mention Ipswich very often - unless it's in context. Others do far more than me. If the subject is being discussed, then I will join in and give a view. It's only natural that there will always be comparisons between our fortunes following his dismissal, which was contentious at the time, and which has polarised opinions.

I did notice that Ipswich are the league's highest scorers, and it does seem that finding forwards is one thing they are particularly good at.

This isn't the case at all though is it?

Everyone bar perton fully accepts Mick did a fantastic job getting wolves out of the championship and all of us bar perton and Wolfie accept he did a good job in the prem initially.

But the ones displaying the least logic are the ones who still pretend that everything was fine toward the end of the second season and then pretend nowt was wrong in the third season at the time of his sacking, three wins in 25 games for feck sake?!?!

And of course the complete myth that Mick has had zero help at Ipswich financially when I have posted a few times the comments from the chairman explaining they paid higher wages than a majority of the league on a par with the parachute clubs which of course was obvious when you saw the amount of prem loans they were bringing in when challenging the play offs.

Well stated Vinnie. However, it'll fall on deaf ears.

Spot on cinci. In fact I stated that he might even be able to get us into Europe. That's how highly I rated him when he got us promoted. They all seem to forget that when having a pop.

However after about a third of the way into our first season, I knew how wrong I was and he was out of his depth at that level. Same at Sunderland.

I'll repeat it for Butey and others and state that he is a decent Championship manager and leave it at that.

For fecks sake let's move on.

posted on 27/9/17

I don't think anyone needs to be convinced that the championship is his level Wolfie, his career path shows that clearly.

You state it isn't the case, then state two people who do it.

The way Bute goes on you would think there is some kind of huge conspiracy to tarnish Mick's name.

Never really understood his motives other than to be a tw@t, as Vinnie says, all he has done has ruined Mick for more people than he has convinced otherwise.
