“ The onus is on the opposition is to present a credible alternative for the electorate; Labour have failed to do this since 2007.

Pointing at the Tories and writing lists as we see is above is not going to win over the electorate.”

I would say the onus on the government to govern for the entire population of the country, not just those more likely to vote for them, businesses that have lobbied them etc. This is more important than focussing on the opposition in order to distract from the shortcomings of the people in power.

Manual everyday

On a serious note I’m still undecided about whether I go auto or manual next time. Currently have a manual, had an auto before that.

City or town?
Size of car?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Suburbs and countryside for 90% of it, and a small SUV (evoque or Q3 size). Also already decided whatever I go for it’ll be 4/AWD

An outright ban on zero hour contracts is stupid and it's just a lazy populist vote winner. When I was in uni most students appreciated them.

———————
Great reasoning(!) loved it while at Uni.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, students like the occasional bit of money without worrying about having to work 40 or 20 hours per week even in the months they have big exams coming up. I even said they should be much more strictly regulated, but like a Pavlovian dog you hear one of the buzzwords and you enter a blind rage free of logic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kindly point out which buzzword you’re thinking of…

Zero hours should be regulated far more than they are at present.
If you’re in full time education or other full time work/being a carer then you should be eligible for zero hours as long as it works both ways for employer and employee.

Otherwise for people who are using the employment to live and make a life, shouldn’t be available for the employer to use.

I don't see labour leadership posting on here. We're just guys on a forum so you can't really throw this crap at people because they criticise the current government.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was referencing the Tory vs Labour discussion and why Tory voters keep voting them in as opposed to Labour so it was entirely relevant and not crap at all
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Youu specifically referenced what was posted on this thread like it's anyone here's responsibility
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No I didn’t. Plus, as you added, you might be the Labour leader (it would explain the gross failing both on here and in Labour’s performance πŸ˜‚ just bantering buddy)

The point is that both people on here and the Labour politicians both just point the finger at the Tories and expect that to change the electorate’s vote; it hasn’t since 2007 so I don’t see why it would going forward.

I’ve only been manual until my car arrives which is auto. I do worry about not enjoying it as much as a manual but the gear boxes these days are incredible and I think the practicality far outweighs anything else.

I don’t know what Sat Nav expects of the opposition? Isn’t what he’s described exactly what they’re meant to do, given they are not in power?

I don’t see an opposition continually pointing out what they’d hypothetically do if they were in power winning votes.

The Tory manifesto for 2010 was incredibly vague and honestly didn't need to be more than that

Financial crisis, Iraq and expenses meant the country felt it was time for a change... The fact that a coalition had to be formed showed how badly Dave n co actually did

Tory MPs still point the finger at blair and the previous labour government, they refuse to take responsibility for their 11 years of failure.
