I didn't mention CNN. I didn't say they don't lie too, of course they do. I just highlighted this extreme instance from some rightwing media.

This is the famous whataboutery. So Cucker Tarlson lies but what about this other guy? Well, nobody said they don't lie either.

Its meant to distract from the point made. Satty fancies Cucker and once suggested Cucker Tarlson could run for POTUS. He doesn't appreciate the guy being put under the spotlight like this.

Saying "what about CNN" doesn't make Cucker any less of a bullsheeter but it convinces him that its OK to be up Cucker's arris, and that he's not gullible and naive for adoring the guy because other people lie too.

All media is crap but if we're being honest there's levels to that game and Right Wing media are the Champions League or World cup of media lies. In a class of their own.

Also, Fox have a lawsuit worth 1.6 billion making its way up their rear. Sued by Dominion for reporting that they used their voting machines and helped Sleepy Joe to steal the elections from Trump. They couldn't have known that for a fact but reported it anyway. They just don't care about accuracy at all.

They obviously contributed to the capitol riots with their lies and its no surprise that so many right wingers believe the election was stolen and that violence would be needed to "save" the USA.

When was the last time you saw CNN knowingly telling porkies to stoke the flames of terrorism and civil war? Fox are far more stupid, have far more stupid people working for them, make far more stupid decisions and report the most stupid stuff as credible news.

Getting their collective arris whooped by CNN and the likes makes them desperate and they have no choice but to entertain people like Cucker to keep their base loyal. If they didn't lie so much their base would start withering.

There's levels to this game. Openly admitting to telling lies on air and expressing amazement that people could ever believe you should get him the sack immediately if Fox fancies itself as a credible source of news. Otherwise Fox loses a lot of credibility, not that they had much of it to begin with.

It's not a "both sides" are as bad as each other argument.
Fox is not a NEWS channel it masquerades as one, CNN does claim to be a news channel and it is far more accountable.
